The title is incredibly funny to me, because there used to be an australian comedy improv show called Thank God You're Here, where a comedian would be presented with a set and prepared actors that would start the scene by going 'thank god you're here! The hospital is on fire/all the bets at wimbledon have just been cashed in/your mother has just found out about your affair' and then the comedian would have to take the scene from there. Really great show.

there are very few contemporary games that capture the comedic spirit of the "pythonesque," mostly due to its extravagantly idiosyncratic silliness, but also due to the fact that all the python's were all college-educated and thus knew perfectly how to mock both the fancy and the crude. this is probably the closest ive seen yet. the way the player character's size varies from screen to screen feels very Terry Gilliam. the foppish town doofus was also a pretty classic comedic character for the pythons. "Then I start foaming at the mouth and fall over backwards!"

I love this game. I am not british but german. I always kind of loved british humor overall. And this world has just a ton of charm in it. It actually feels more alive than a lot of TV shows made for comedy that I kind of forgot I was watching a video from RT playing a game. Hope the guys who made this make even more games with the same passion. Cause this is pure gold.

I never lived in the North, I lived in Herefordshire, but the quaint town square is yet so utterly familiar, and the friendly demeanour of all that lived there. What a sweet little game (though rather absurd)
