Hey Mike. Just as a re-look for you. The entrance hole you noted for the 300BLK was NOT where it went in. You can see from 11:01-11:08 that the entrance hole was in the bottom right area of the pillow. Doesn't change anything about it going straight through. Still cool.

At the price you are better off buying an actual ballistic shield with a ballistic glass window. I have one leaning against my bed and I mounted a holster, light, my nigh vision, blowout kit, and two smoke grenades (basically a get out of dodge option to distract or conceal my exit off the property). I bought mine used direct from my local LE for $200. But the price new can be as low as $500.

Wow …, with some Velcro straps we can now protect the nuts and low abdomen and maybe a little more. My problem with body armor is the weight and lack of coverage. 11x14 leaves a lot exposed. I really need an MRAP. Uncle Joe refuses to buy me one with the Billion in unaccountable kickback dollars he received from the Ukrainian unmarked dollars. Now I am going to have to checkout the weight and cost of that thing. A pillow in the deal too.

I know the 5.7x28 is much stronger than a 22WMR, just really curious if this would stop a 22WMR 40gr FMJ from say a Keltec PMR or Walther WMP. May be something to add to the testing, knowing how it performs compared to a supposedly more powerful 9mm.

Do not wash the armor panel. The outside with a damp cloth sure, but "washing" the panel would not be good for it.

Wonder what the chance of breaking your arm is if using this as a shield. Also since its soft armor the chance of it causing the bullet to just push the armor out of the way where its unsupported seems pretty high. There is a reason true armored shields are rigid. Ultimately i think using this a shield to confront a home intruder is probably a bad idea, better to keep both hands on the gun and make accurate hits while using as much cover as possible
