From what I remember in an interview, Benny said that most of the fight was just him and Jackie sparring. There were also times when they and the stunt team fell asleep on set and just went back to it came morning. If that's not dedication, I don't know what is.

I saw Benny interview and he said for the slow mo they couldn’t ‘fake’ the punches to his jaw. It would have been too obvious. So Jackie really hit him. And they had to do several takes so he had to get ice on it or his face would swell up too much. And on the first take he really did put out the candles but on retakes he said if they made him try it again he would pull his hamstring so they had to rig up the ‘Woosh’ after that.

This is one of my favourite fights of Jackie Chan. Jackie challenged Benny to hit him for real & Benny did. In turn, Jackie also landed some real punches on Benny. Most likely, the hits you see & the reactions are real. But they were cool about it after that & Jackie asked him to appear again in his movie "Dragons Forever."

This has always been one of my Fav fights & still is & still a Fav movie. They a day or two filming this fight & they slept on the set. They also ate on set. Jackie knew Jetts skill level & that he could lay into him, Jackie would encourage Benny to do the same especially when & if Jackie had padding. But yeah that crack to Benny’s Head was definitely legit & when Benny Kicked out the flames from the candle in one of the tales they did of it.

After the bruce lee/chuck norris battle, this was the second most beautiful movie fight ever filmed. It seems to also be a homage of sorts to that other fight; the way jackie changed tactics mid-fight, and jet trying to fight back in spite of his wobble. And that table scraping back was the BEST wow moment!

OMG shaky cam is stupid, this is what makes Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung geniuses, wide angle shots to ACTUALLY LET YOU SEE the fights, smooth transitions to the next fight scene and taking a breather for example when Jackie grabs the chair and talks to himself this gives the audience the chance to digest what happens before he resumes the fight, now that's how you create a fight scene not these stupid shaky cams, bad lighting and closeups so they can attempt to fool you that the actors use stunt doubles in certain scenes

Also, with Jackie Chan, would love to see some Legend of the Drunken Master, and also another movie of his not too well known, it's called Who Am I - The Roof Scene, he fights 2-3 different dudes, amazing fight scene.
