The ending imo symbolically was amazing. Heck Lightnings overall arc was great. Cars: Humbling himself and learning to not be such a hotshot all the time and make real connections. Cars 2: Learn to appreciate Mater more and accept him for who he is Cars 3: Learns to accept his age and takes the path Doc didnt to continue his career while still ushering in the new generation

there are Championship races where the driver can sub in mid race and take over while the guy who started takes a break or sits down for a coffee. its just not done that much cause the companies always wanna put their best driver in the race from start to finish. So Mcqueen subbing Cruz in wouldve been okay since in that world they cant jump in and out of the car, so Cruz is just in the race when Mcqueen leaves.

Cars 3 was the perfect ending, like lets be real LeBron aint winning a ring anymore at his age, lightining in this movie is where Lebron is today, he is still good but the new guys are running the show now. McQueen is kinda like the Tom Brady of the Cars world. Strip Weathers did it for 30+ years, but McQueen was only around for about 10, yet he grabbed 7 Piston Cups in that time, something that took Strip his full 30+ year career.

Jackson is a Hybrid with fancy aerodynamics, supposedly runs on E-fuel which has his Combustion shown faint or like vapor in the Trailer when introducing us to him and made from things like Carbon Fiber so that's why he's faster even though his Top Speed isnt supposed to have him so fast.

There is an alternatives ending that was possibly better from the one we got. It's on KZbin if you want to look it up. When the Florida raceday arived Stirling back out of his deal with Mcqueen and put Cruz instead because of the feedback from Cruz suit which they added the quick paintjob from Ramon which paid image to the idea. The fans were upset especially the kid from the beginning in the movie yelling Lightning and Team Dinoco came to the rescue putting in Mcqueen for Dinoco which is why he got that paint job and number in the end of the movie to also pay image to the idea.

Lightning’s got a point. There’s merit and more of a point to getting dirty and it does help. Simulations can only take you so far. Sure they can help you get faster but there’s a certain detachment, you can’t improvise, trade skill for speed, and they don’t make you a better racer/player. However, I believe balance between the two. The past or your ways are never useless, but it doesn’t hurt to have help from what’s new either. The point is to neither ignore nor abandon either.

Lightning passing the torch midrace is like Lewis Hamilton giving the winning position to his partner at Mercedes. Keep in mind its a racing team, so dont compare it to basketball, compare it to F1

Actually McQueens crash was for the piston cup in 2016. Had he won that he would have 8 piston cups. The Florida 500 is the start of the new 2017 season.

Lightning's crash...was much more gruesome compared to Doc & King's crashes, since they crashed on sand and dirt respectively but Lightning, he crashed on the race track itself...something hard, so lots of damage

Not gonna lie McQueen was stubborn a bit but cruz definitely held him back heavily which made him disregard her training leading to his stubbornness.

the thing about cars 3 is that you have to understand from a athlete perspective, he dominated for so long and now hes no longer the best, McQueen is stubborn because hes older and outdated and when you are the top in your game its hard to accept that your time has pretty much come to an end, he had to learn to let go of his past and focus on the future and that was the whole point of the movie, his career as a racer is practically over and what's waiting for him was up in the air because racing is all he ever knew. that's why him becoming a mentor for Cruz is so important. this movie was in my opinion great because its meant not for just kids but for those who aged with the story and its true in that when its your time to change its hard to let go and its even harder to be at peace with that chapter of your life ending and moving onto the next chapter of your story, most sportsmen/women often end their careers on losses because the competition is younger and faster.

So in NASCAR it's actually legal to sub the driver mid-race, usually due to illness or injury. However, any points or stats, such as a win, go to the driver who started the race and not the driver who finishes it. This has happened if say the driver has a sprained foot or something, they can start, come straight into the pits, and have the sub jump in

He won his first race and had a huge ego, too much pride and was generally an asshole until he ended up in Radiator Springs and got shaped up. Imagine McQueen never even went to radiator springs, and went wherever he was originally supposed to go. He would've continued to be a jerk exactly like Storm Jackson. Switch the roles and put Storm in McQueen's place in the first movie, and it'd be Storm who got shaped into a humble champion instead.

@shiningstone6771 McQueen wouldn't have gotten to where he would be in Cars 2 and 3 without Hudson, the impact Hudson and the people he met in Radiator Springs changed the course of his life. HAD HE NOT gone to Radiator Springs, he would've remained arrogant and had too much pride; something Storm is now, Arrogant and too prideful simply because not only is he new Gen, but he's a fast rookie. McQueen was exactly like him in Cars 1 until he got humbled and learned a lot from someone who was a champion. To say RS didn't gave any importance is simply to turn a blind eye to the entire plot of the movie, because it's had a huge significance

The draft ending had lightning get dropped before the race as the tracking suit revealed to rusteez about Cruz stats so Cruz replaced lightning at the start of the race Then dinamo give there spot to lightning who beats storm by drafting

When mcqueen was racing Cruz he slip to early that's why he lost Cruz didn't speed up its just that once mcqueen passed her the air resistance went back to normal so he went back to 198 while Cruz was at 200mph plus so she just passed him mcqueen was still relying on raw speed instead of using his head to time to slip right before the finish line that they said he wouldn't be faster than storm but he can be smarter u see it with Cruz when facing storm she was slip steaming and wait till the about the last bit to pass him bc she had the speed but storm ran into her then she played the move right she flipped and used that moment when storm was alittle slower than her to win but storm was faster than her she just outsmarted him also storm ego cost him

I wasn’t so bothered by this movie when it came out. I was just confused and upset on why they let Cruz do Docs move off the wall, instead of Mqueen. That never made sense to me. I’m also curious on why they couldn’t just upgrade Mqueen to keep up with the new guys.

I definitely ship Cruize and McQueen, I know Sally is his actual girlfriend and McQueen is also a bit older than Cruise, but seeing McQueen how he understands Cruize and motivates Cruize to achieve her dream by sacrificing his dream touched my heart. Sally is more like a show off lawyer. I guess McQueen do like Cruize very much, that we can know only in Cars 4.
