Who needs Amazon or Newegg prod reviews when your videos are so comprehensive, high quality and informative. This is what I come here for. Much harder to capture intangibles through text reviews and image from varying sources than a single video. Played this at 2x speed so information was captured in the most efficient manner. 10 for video quality, informative value, unboxing methodology, audio quality, entertainment value and other qualities. The two cameras are a great addition to your reviews! I think it would be a good idea to switch to the "detail" camera once you have actually opened the package and pulled out the video card. As an alternative, you could also leave the setting as it is, but make the "detail" camera on the corner more "zoomed" (lots of table space getting the camera that really doesn't matter for anyone). Funny enough, i was in a peculiar position, where i needed an upgrade from my evga 980ti ftw card, but didn't have the funds for a 2080ti. I somehow lucked out and got a 1080ti for $510 shipped. I was able to go from 4K stuck on LOW preset for final fantasy 15, to 4K high, at last. Considering the 980ti was able to (nearly) max out everything else i cared about up to this point, that kind of jump on my most demanding game, is highly encouraging. 2:16 No, RTX isn't two new core types. It's two new pipelines. Just like cuda "cores" are pipelines in a core. Nvidia calling cuda "cores" for cores is just marketing to try to illustrate how wide their cores are. If you're going to call a cuda "core" a core then you might as well call a Ryzen 7 1700 for a 80 core processor, because the 8 cores got 10 pipelines each. Equally a GTX 1080 is a 20 core processor with 128 pipelines pr core for a total of 2560 pipelines in total. A GTX 1050 is actually a 6 core processor with 768 pipelines in total. The deal with RTX isn't a increase in core count at all but a increase in pipelines pr core adding new specialized pipelines for new types of tasks, allowing Nvidia to do things that *can* be done with the old pipelines and cores but in way fewer clock cycles and using fewer instructions. So instead of a series of instructions to achieve a task you can use a few new specialized ones.

at $350-400, it better at the very least do 1080p. Rtx is nice-ish but as a hardcore gamer, its useless eye candy. Nintendo switch proves it's all about exclusive titles. Unfortunate for nvidia doesn't have any exclusive titles. Imagine thinking you can't wait to play a game just because of eye candy vs playing something you can't play at all without the proper hardware. Numbers, graphs eye candy is nice on paper and in theory but reality is Rtx is not a good selling tech, whether people see it now or not. As for the gaming performance itself , its nice, nothing new however. People are buying a 1070ti (without mining inflation) and mediocre eye candy. Lets not forget that currently theres 1-2 games with RTX support. This will change in the future but again every other graphics card owner can play the game for awhile and uninstall it. Rtx is missing consumer engagement and satisfaction IMHO. Its a beta of the technology, basically all first gen Rtx owners are test lab rats for the future.

This is the world we live in today, a world where Nvidia are charging you $350 for a 60x class card (100 over what we have become accustomed to for this class) and everybody thinks this is ok. People need to wake up and realise that they are now charging you what used to be 70x class pricing for the 60x card, as for the 2070, it really speaks for itself! A 70x class card on the TU106 GPU is an absolute disgrace! The 70x has for the most part always been a cut down version of 80x class chip on the 104 die, however this time around, they have the cheek to sell you a a midrange card for $500! The only 20 series card that makes even the tiniest amount of sense, and even it is an absolute joke, is the 2080 Ti. At least it offers a performance jump that could not be attained on last gen cards. However, it’s absurd that what used to cost $600-700 for the 80 Tix class card is now $1000+! Bravo to everyone that blindly bought Nvidia and have helped to shape what is practically a monopoly today.

And Vega 56 is just the same with: €479. Nvidia knows damn well that the prices of the 1070 and 1070 ti won't go down and that their similarly performing RTX 2060 is cheaper. Just enough to convince people to buy it while still asking a lot more money than they normally would for a 60s series card. One of the advantages of PC hardware is how things like 4k and high-refresh rate becomes easily available for older games as we move along the technology. 7th gen games that ran well on consoles like the first 3 Batman Arkham games could run at 4k60 on high detail with a GTX 970 ( DX9, no gameworks)

*RTX 2060's "6GB VRAM" is a problem!* *• At present, many games already use more than 6GB at 1080p ultra. Example: Final Fantasy XV, Shadow of War, Rise of The Tomb Raider, Shadow of The Tomb Raider(DX12), COD BO 4, COD WW II, Battlefield V (DX12), Resident Evil 7, Deus Ex MD... etc.* *• Future games will require high vRAM.* *• DX12 uses more vRAM than DX11. Future games will be DX12 resulting higher vRAM usage.* *• Enabling DXR (Ray Tracing) increases vRAM consumption.* *• Enabling DLSS doesn't make vRAM usage any lower.* *• Even lower end cards like RX 570, 580, 590, GTX 1070 non Ti has more vRAM than RTX 2060.* *• GTX 760= 2GB, GTX 960= 4GB, GTX 1060= 6GB, RTX 2060= 6GB?!... 1060 launch 2.5 years ago and at that time, it was for 1080p with 6GB vRAM. Now 2.5 years later 2060 is 60% faster than 1060 but with same amount of vRAM?! Games don't get any less vRAM hungry.* *• Nvidia themselves told PCWorld that they could've outfitted the RTX 2060 with 8GB of GDDR6 but they made it 6GB to reduce cost. Though they expect games to utilize full 8GB of vRAM in a year or two.* *• Digital foundry did a Ray Tracing performance review on the RTX 2060. At 1080p, all graphics settings were ultra expect Ray Tracing (DXR). And they found out the game's vRAM usage hit 6GB and began to stutter even with DXR at low. So think about future games.* *Nvidia is trying to attract people with fancy RTX features which are half-baked and giving lower vRAM so that RTX 2060 owners will upgrade faster.* *Also the point is 6GB won't be enough for RTX 2060.*

Hi tech. Since you asked, the most functional view of the products was given from the top camera at the 54m 10sec mark. it was wide enough to view the whole product and close enough to see the details. For my 47 inch TV sitting almost 3 meters away, even with video in full screen i couldn't see the details well enough (ports, power intakes). Of course this is my setup and will not apply to others. Also the protective mat because it is dark and has a lot detail it can be distracting. A switch between the top close up (for details) and front view (for unboxing) would work best. You want 8 gig au VRAM but your forgot that 2060 has GDDR6 over 10xx GDDR5 series, memory that is actually almost twice as fast in terms bandwitdh (8Gbps against 14 Gbps). If you need less memory to process the same thing why you want more memory ??? 6 Gig of GDDR6 is enough over 8 gig of GDDR5.

@Keelan I was just saying that only focusing on VRAM gigs is not realevent enough, in most cases VRAM not gonna be a problem, cause VRAm average on most games is 3K or 4K VRAM usage, of course there are exceptions like you mention, but for a 389€ card, competing with a 1070 Ti in most cases, it's a quite a good price for a carde smaller, less noisy and less power consumption (for me it's a good carde in the small form factor cases like in mini itx).

I would think the average gamer probably upgrades every 3 years or so. Brother Ares How do you define life cycle of a gpu? The 780ti is like 5 years old and can still do 1080p 40+ fps on pretty much ultra settings. If you mean 60 fps on 1080p at the highest possible settings, the 2060 can't do it, it won't even hit 60+ on a game like Watch dogs 2 on the highest setting. Therefore, the life cycle is best defined by the time a gpu can maintain 30 fps on low settings at a monitor's native resolution. The 750ti is still technically alive as it can run modern games on low at 30 fps on 1080p

The price is way too steep for technology that we are unable to take advantage of and wont be able to for at least 1-2 years as far as improvement in the RT processes that wont tank your PC performance and wide spread adoption in games from developers. All this makes this GPU product line from Moneyvidia a sianide capsule. I cant help but feel that Moneyvidia may have rushed this out because they new what Navi was capable of doing so they had to show something that they werent ready to announce much less launch. It would be really hilarious if AMD postphoned their announcement and launch of Navi to force Moneyvidia to prematurely rush their useless RTX line out so they could see just what Nvidia had up their sleeve and or to generate negative publicity by Nvidias onw doing LOL.
