@@restant8845 The Next card I get is going to be AMD. Owner of an RTX 3060ti. In retrospect, I would have chose an RX 6700xt, if I had it to do over again. Not complaining, I like my 3060ti. (last year this was an upgrade from my old GTX 980ti) The only benefit I could see in choosing the RTX 4xxx series, would be power and heat efficiency. (I am thinking of that Gigabyte low-profile, 4060 card)

in conclusion guys if you on a budged get the 4060 but if oyu want a card that can handle and 1440p get the 3060ti i does lose on average with about 3-5 fps to the 4060ti but its cheaper and comes with WAAAAY better vram ye they both have 8gb but the rtx 3060ti has 256b vram while the rtx 4060ti has 128b vram the same vram that the 4060ti has have the gtx 1660ti. Literaly bruh.

The 3060 ti might not be the best budget card for 1440p. The 8GB VRAM is crippling, unless you assume everything will be played with textures on Low~Mid (actually not that farfetched tbh). The 16GB version of the 4060 ti could be a better option for 1440p due to better VRAM + DLSS3.

@@ravenryndonverdera998 Yeah, you're correct. I've realized recently I forgot to take the bus size into consideration. Maybe an eventual RTX 5060 TI could have the bus raised to 192 ~ 256 bit again. The 128 bit is tough.

nvidia should start giving more vram and the baseline should be 8gb not 6gb for any card for that matter , its apparent even pubg uses about 8gb in 1080p so 12/16/24/32 gb vrams make sense without increasing the price , i hope blackwell gets a NPU in the Soc so that its using AI cores to boost the fps and handle the vram usage, games are no longer small and nvidia is still giving low vram and their pricing sceme is terrible or any budget user, they should bring down the prices of 30 and 40 series card after 50 series release and shut down 16 and 20 series stock all together to prevent lsoses , the budget segment needs to be really price reduced so more and more gamers enter the mainstream online pc gaming and dont feel left behind part of the reason is the chip shortage and lack of factories across nations, hope these big chip companies start building the factories outside of taiwan/china and bring them to EU,US, India,south korea, heck even brazil
