7800x3D is only good for 1080p/competitive gaming, so basically it’s noise for most people. Past 1440p, there is barely any difference.

I have an 8700k and there's a used Ryzen 5 7600 for sale for $250 and I want it because every benchmarking app says it'll be a decently big upgrade (and Ray Tracing stutters a lot for my PC because my CPU is always at 100% load with it on) but I'm not sure if I should waste the money or just spend a little more on a 12900k that's used for $400 and a long 5 hour drive lol Edit: I bought it, somehow my FPS in CPU bound games has DOUBLED (I did semi-OC it by making it run at 5.3Ghz at all times, which I think is boost clocks but it's stable and under 85C so I'm very happy compared to that shitty 8700k that wouldn't go over 4.7Ghz, also its boost clock, and hit 90C spikes every now and again), and games that have Ray Tracing I can actually run without the game falling below 60 fps with a 3080. As much as I'd probably have loved the slightly better performance of the 12900k, the fact that I can upgrade to a 7800x3D (or 9000 series if they have the same performance with as little watts as they use, holding off in case there's any massive bugs that come out into the open) is just insane and I honestly did not expect this 7600 to be as strong as it is considering it's literally the same amount of cores/threads and not that much faster than my 8700k was.

Is it ryzen 7600 or 7600x? Also remember getting the 12900k also means that other things in your build may need to be upgraded, or atleast should be upgraded if they aren't as high end, since that CPU is very good. Yeah it would work, but you might spend more money then u had to

@@timedazzler7050 Yeah I went with that, I still have distrust for AMD after I was talked into buying an FX-8350 12 years ago and it would constantly go below 60 fps in CSGO at the time, but this CPU has been great. Still don't get great FPS with Jedi Survivor and The Suicide Squad, but other than those unoptimized shits, I've been able to play with Ray Tracing and it's great (and other games that still maxed out my CPU I can now watch KZbin videos lol).

Both came with mobo and DDR5 ram, but that 5 hour drive to Dallas didn't entice me and the fact that I had to risk it not working on the way home and just be out of $400 left me unwilling to get it, even though it's still much better, but I'm happy with the 7600 now and can actually upgrade to gen 9 Ryzens, so I'm not to worried anymore.

Dude, my processor simply shoots up in temperature, even using a 240mm water cooler, I did an undervolt and now it doesn't go above 51 degrees, however I lost a lot of performance but I kept the clock at 5.1ghz, the temperature previously hit 70 80 degrees, without being at some open game, just on simple tasks '-' can you help me?

Hello gamerdude, Seeing that we both have the same setup i have a monitor related questin that maybe you can help me with. I'm planning to do 1440p maybe 2160p gaming , but do you see ore feel any reason why there is a need to buy a 165hz+ screen ? i'm only asking because , most of the game's i see here are clipping 150 fps & in 2160p it's lower. high hz on screens are more for first person shooter games like Cs Go or Valorant where there is a real need of high fps to get a better reaction time if you dont really play fps type games I guess you dont rly need a high hz screen, however I would take at least a 144 hz since "we never know" maybe one day you will like those games

Bottlenecking is when one of your parts is preventing the other parts from working at their best. If you have an old CPU, it'll bottleneck your GPU at 1080p, or if your RAM is say DDR4 compared to DDR5, that can bottleneck your pc slightly. What CPU do you have and do you feel like you're not getting much FPS?

The only difference is the 900mhz clock if you don't turn on the boost clock in the bios (which you really should unless you use the stock cooler) and 300mhz for boost clocks, so it's not going to be a massive difference, but there is going to be maybe 5% higher fps on the X version, it's similar enough to gauge it.

Could be a heating issue, when ur CPU or GPU temperatures are abnormally high. they limit themselves on their performances, thus causing stutters or performance issues. Check.

ZOTAC Twin Edge is small and has two fans, but it gets cold. My PNY dual probably easily exceeds 70℃ when used with the same settings. Cooling performance is not determined by size alone..
