The Neural Rendering Capabilities is basically ai upscaling, but for in-game textures, which will mean less VRAM is needed, as well as improving performance, and guess what Nvidia gpus are known to lack… VRAM Edit: unless you’re here to have a genuine discussion, do us all a favor and don’t comment:)

Just coped an 7900xt and let me tell you something, the fsr 4 will work the same way as DLSS which means it will need integrated AI cores which guess what gpus have it...ALL AMD GPU's since 7000 series so 7000 Series and especially 7800xt and higher GPUS will easily live for another 2 generations (8000/9000 series).

I think that neural networks in textures and other image processing is right way to go because there is plenty of room to optimize those. But it is future until we get those on common console hardware and that likely take decade.

Nvidia made the argument that it was not their pricing that dropped sales, but that people just were not in the market for new GPUs. I kid you not, that was their take to justify their ridiculous price hikes. Is the Intel GPU that great, not really, but if someone just wants to buy the cheapest GPU with the most up to date features like RT and upscaling, etc, that has decent rasterization and VRAM capacity, then the Intel B580 is literally that GPU. Because what other options do you really have? an RTX 3050? This is the cheapest decent GPU on the market with current feature sets. And that is why I think a lot of the people who aren't impressed with the GPU (me included) are expecting this not to be something that is sold well. We forget a lot of gamers, especially in less industrialized nations or young folks, are just looking for the cheapest they can get their hands on that isn't awful and provides RT, AV1 encoding, decent VRAM capacity, and beats out the low end Nvidia option in rasterization. The tech KZbinrs who tend to have a marketing or economic lean to their analysis, tend to miss a lot of this stuff. And that's because we have a lot of economic illiteracy and we treat our economic system like it's a physical science, and just like in politics (which is literally what our economic system is), political advisors are often wrong and extremely out of touch with their audience or consumer base and don't inherently see the flaws in the system and operate as if it is a zero sum concept or theory.

Nvidia app is not problematic ( it drops your FPS by a lot if your not paying attention) after installing turn off Nvidia Overlay and recording ( it automatically records your best shots in game and make some screenshots of it on the background without letting you know )

That optimise games, what it does is it'll change your graphic settings to provide better performance for your system. It's for people who don't wanna research on what each particular setting does and how much it affects their FPS. So if you optimise your games, it'll just be running at a lower graphic setting compared to Ultra.

Foolish people don't realize the B580 has 4070 process tech (5N), 4070 die area (270-290 mm square), 4070 RAM (GDDR6 12GB), 4070 Power consumption, using the same foundry (TSMC). SO Intel loses $50 - $100 on every card they sell for $250. The B580 is a 4070-class card Which is 33% slower than the 4070 which sells for $500 from NVidia There's not a snowball's chance in hell of finding a B580 at $250 now that all the marketing-hype units have been sold at that money-losing intro price!

Drivers a definitely a big part for how efficient the GPU runs. My 4080 originally wasn’t running great FPS 2 years ago until later driver updates. Recently, I did a clean driver install which made a huge difference when playing Indiana Jones and the Great circle. I can max out all settings, 4k, including full RT with DLSS performance getting around 70fps. (No frame gen). Before I did a clean install of the drivers, I was only getting 60fps with ultra performance. I consistently update the drivers, because I tend to get system crashes with several different games. As for Intel, people are very excited about the new B580 being cheaper than even AMD bottom GPU with slightly better performance and most importantly 12GB of VRAM. I never used to car about the vram, but the newest games like India jones require minimum 8gb, but really should have 12GB if you want to turn up the graphics. This gives Intel a great advantage, but of course people need to remember the B580 is being compared to two year old GPU’s, so let’s see what happens next year! If AMD and Nvidia do not put 12 GB in their 5060 and 8600 GPU’s, the. Intel will still have the advantage in the newest games, exempt with RT cores that the newest games are requiring, Nvidia will hold the lead on this one.

The game filters doesn't surprise me at all. The old ones were bad, too, having performance costs. The difference is that with the old app, you had to select an individual filter and turn it on. I'm not sure what's going on with the new app where people's FPS' are taking a hit without a filter applied, but the filter ENGINE itself being on? Kinda goofy and seems like a step backwards. Also, any shadowplay feature automatically enabled will decrease performance as well, but I'm not sure if the new app has Shadowplay functionality anymore. Steam's in-game recorder basically wipes the floor with any other recorder.

For me the nvidia app got the cpu usage from 85 to 100 and thus my game went to 1 fps. I was terrified by all the possible causes. But it was just a click to fix it.😅

you can also fix it by just turning off overlay like a normal person. turn off, like, all overlays. steam overlay, discord overlay, nvidia overlay, windows game bar overlay. theyre all awful.

The RTX 3070 came with less VRAM and had faster FPS than the 3060 12GB. NVIDIA should trick everyone into buying an 8GB GPU that's NOT only 4X the speed of the 4060, but also WAY faster than the 3060.

I would like to think that I would upgrade my 3080 to a 5090 and for once in my life get the highest tier card and have it last me many years - but I am thinking the price is going to be so horrendous, I wont even be able to get the 5080 (which would still be a nice upgrade), but it likely wont be until the 6000 series is being talked about, ie when the prices have come down a little. Such a huge amount of money.

when you review these 5000 series cards, the ONLY thing that matter is pure rasterization FPS. (including 4k) Don't give a crapola about fake frames or Ray tracing.
