I currently have this case (A4-H20) - my biggest annoyance with it is the lack of cable management. There are areas of the case where, if they just added an extra 10-15 mm in the dimensions, it would make it so much more adaptable - I'm about to switch to a Jonsbo Z20 MATX case for this reason - and the extra cooling!

Would be great if you could try these in the coming weeks: 1. Power limiting card to 60-80% - Reason: it's easier to power limit than undervolt 2. Frame capped in very high FPS titles - Reason: Blackwell has some very interesting Max-Q technologies which could slash power draw here. 3. What happens to power draw when you hit a CPU bottleneck? - Reason: Above^ 4. Test power draw in different games - Reason: With 40 series power draw varied a ton, just see Eurogamer's 4090 review, the gap is HUGE. From racing games with usually low power draw to Cyberpunk with RT and path traced games with high power draw. 5. 8K gaming in older titles - Reason: Want to see how well it fares against a 4090 6. DLDSR and DLSS testing at 4K - Reason = the image clarity is insane and fixes the TAA blurry mess presentation and would be interesting to see how well the card handles this.

@dianaalyssa872610 күн бұрын
I worry about the heat also. The power connector here from other unboxing videos looks more flexible less stiff. Have a 4090 FE open case in 7000D Airflow it's chonky (had 7900XTX Merc310 in before that) there's also a difference in a plastic panel vs a glass one, seemed obvious when you don't have enough comfortable clearance to consider throwing on a glass panel after building. Some psu manufacturers will also sell 12VHPWR direct, thing is once you're built it's a bit late. The adapters work but they are chonky and unsightly. At least the new version looks more flexible by the cable 8pin bends on the adapter.

Flipping the FE5090 upside down with a longer riser so that it is blowing outwards is a configuration I am curious about. Would need some case modding to fasten the card though. Or some modder trying to reverse the card fans for sucking instead blower configuration… Optimum techs approach to 3D print an exhaust duct towards the case bottom is interessting as well.. I wonder which option gets best thermal results, or maybe no mod needed just undervolting does the job. We‘ll see soon!

Well, your point of building such a mini is why I generally avoid the super small form factor. That said, it is nice to see smaller cards come in on the high end, and not just for small factor builds - just think of all the slots that will once again be accessible on a regular sized ATX board.

Yeah, that's going to be cooking itself. Even with that "free" slot behind it, that will be very severely limiting the effectiveness of that flow-through cooler, which is entirely reliant on unrestricted exhaust airflow to work. And of course you have the two equally terrible options of either running your AIO as an exhaust, pulling in all that gpu heat into the rad, or as an intake, fighting the GPU exhaust for that extremely limited space for airflow. I mean, it'll be interesting to see how the build comes out, and I really appreciate the effort of getting high performance into a small form factor, but you've got an underclock coming in your near future.
