i've watched your video about this game since the old version and it help me a lot to complete this game in Titan mode. This new version is more easier than before and i see it not challenge. Thank you so much.

I'm glad to hear my videos were helpful! I think some missions are harder on this new version of the game and some are easier. Troy attacks much harder now on mission 5 for example

I remember reading about the hysterography of the Greek-Persian wars and I recall two things: A) one of the earliest depictions of "shell shock", as a soldier is suddenly struck blind despite not being hurt. and B) the arguments between historians over how the battle actually happened, because apparently the current thinking is that the heavier Greek hoplites straight up *charged* the Persian line which is what won the battle so decisively. C) Greek armor in general was so good against the Persian archers that apparently it actually created a demoralizing effect on *both* sides due to the sound of the arrows clanging uselessly on the armor was nerve wrecking.

I really like the upgrade to Lure, turning it into a drop point. Villagers will also drop food off at docks, I've noticed, but only automatically rather than manually.

@@Chronische yes, I've seen villagers drop off at docks and fishing ships drop off at granaries! I'm not sure whether I like it for Lure. Convenient, certainly. But kind of weird to think about, and also it felt a bit more strategic before to try to place the lure where it would pull animals next to a drop off point instead

It works as a drop point!? That's what I get for playing it like it's still Extended edition.

@@Gasliker yeah, it was a surprise to me too. I noticed that partway through chapter 2, after I'd already cast Lure there. So this is the first chapter where I got some use out of it

no need to count to find out on a death: just max out your pop, then stop unit production. if you ever drop below the count from then, you know someone died. as for objects with build limits, just check the tooltip on the current/max amount as the max amount of things is not constant over the campaign maps. also, you can also set techs on autobuild with right click even if you do not yet have all requirements for it to research. for example: right at the start, right-click on the age-up button and select your next god and the game will automatically do so on the first possible chance: so if you have villager on autobuild and a temple, the moment you hit 400 food you will start to age up. a structure can queue multiple techs this way, with the latest queued tech getting the highest priority. as for the autotrain on villager, you can enable the option if your towncenter starts with having the autobuild activated right away. also if that should also apply to newly build town centers. as for your no-death run: mission 10 still has that kraken army you need to cross

Supposedly, the guy who grabbed the persian ship was Cynaegeirus, brother of the poet Aeschylus. The legend goes: he first grabs the ship with his right hand, which gets chopped off. Then with his left, which also gets chopped off and then with his teeth before he finally got decapitated and let go of the ship.

Something that keeps bugging me is the cinematic protraits feel very 'AI'-generated with a touch-up.

It feels to me like the combat AI is smarter when doing attack-move commands with a mixed army. Units will often automatically attack things that they counter. But attack-move will also counterintuitively prioritize enemy units behind them sometimes, leading to unnecessary backtracking. Villager AI can be pretty annoying, with vills going idle for seemingly no reason at all sometimes. And the new Villager Priority feature is a nice idea but it's less than useless in practice. Units physically pushing each other around is nice in some cases, like how a small force can make their way through a large crowd instead of going around. But at times like 2:50 it can be counterproductive, too. By the way, I noticed you didn't build a wall on the southern beach like you did in the original series. The enemy AI is smart enough now that they can't be funneled so easily by walling off passes, so I'm interested how that will play out in some later missions.

As I recall, that started with the titan's expansion. I guess they wanted myth units to see more play and for picking a god to give an immediate asset of some sort instead of most gods not doing anything for a while as you need to wait for upgrades

You need a temple to advance to classical age. And those free myth units are "stored" in case you don't have a temple or dock for the naval ones, giving them to you as soon as you build one.

It feels like you are a brat pulling a prank on kamos, with how you are playing yes you do destroy his army that he sends out to destroy you and his small defending one on the left side. But you pulling out after destroying his tc, especially with the rest of his base standing and troops just cause you got your victory screen feels like something loki might do. LIke it is just a prank bro, i just destroyed your tc, your villagers and army still live why are you mad don't you like tricks?
