The scene with Raz in the brain tumbler is great, and the voice actor did an amazing job. It must have been hard maintaining such a stoic delivery while still getting across how utterly furious Sasha was with Raz.

And even then, he makes it clear that he’s only angry because *he knows Raz knows better* So he doesn’t just go into just being mean, he’s giving him a life lesson since he sees Raz as a younger him.

And goes as far as to offer Raz a tool to use in case he gets a bit reckless. I've started playing the first game and I've finished Sasha's shooting gallery, and man, his stoic nature helps make moments where he's genuinely angry stand out amazingly!

You know, when you think about it, Raz really looks up to Sasha as his mentor. Even more than Ford or Milla. He really cares about what Sasha thinks of him, so when Sasha was mad, it really droves home the message of what Raz did.

He's my favorite character! He looks cold and uncaring at first, but then you realize how fatherly he is to Raz, the main character. He really cares about the kid he just met, and would protect him with his life.

I know the proportions are off for the characters, but Nick seems to really take the cake when they find his body "brainless" on the floor. Almost everything else is slender, but then he has an almost perfectly round belly and large head (14:25). Also, is it just me or are there no psychics in the story with any kind of physical muscles? Raz's family does acrobatics, but none of them really seem to have even small amounts of visible muscle. Is the idea that levitation is used somewhat subconsciously? Does the gene that makes people psychic make the physical muscles atrophy to some extent (obviously they still have enough to move around) or just lose their appearance? There was one character in the first game with muscles, but I don't think he was a psychic.

I think it’s more of an artistic choice. The game has a very unique art style that focused on more unique designs rather then realism.

Sasha has the same kind of lamp in his office that he used as a demonstration way back in first game. So was he lying, was it a gift from Millia that he didn’t have the heart to turn down or is it something else?

Probably something else. in the first game, his voice of agony when looking at the lamp sounds fake, he probably keeps it to remember his mom.

Sort of. In his memory vault “Sasha’s first loss,” the slide of his mother dying in the corner has a Tiffany lamp, the same lamp he claims as “tacky.” He probably ‘dislikes’ them because it was there during his mother’s death, but has it as a memento to remind him of his mother. Somewhat similarly in The Rhombus of Ruin, Sasha apparently tried taking the phonograph record that was played because it was the same song his mother sang in his infancy. He likely bought one himself, or could have possibly went back to his hometown and taken the original lamp. (Unknown if his father would still have it after all those years as Sasha did run away.) I doubt Milla gave the Tiffany lamp to Sasha as that would be the same as Sasha giving Milla a fire starter kit to counsel her feelings about her past trauma at the orphanage.
