I have a 19' trd sport. Iv been pondering ways to camp out of the wee little bed and I think this tent might be the best 1st way to get out there until I have time for bigger projects. I'm really enjoying the channel. Thanks for taking the time to make content!

Love the Rightline truck bed tent on My RAM 1500. I'm going to get the Rightline SUV tent that can add an additional room to the back that is on the ground. So you can have your bedroom in the bed and a kitchen/living space off the tailgate. Yeah I ahve that same step ladder and it works perfect for getting in and out of the bed. Ive picked up a candlelier for heating the tent along with one of those wood stove heat powered fans. Ive tested it and the fan starts blowing within 30 seconds and gets up to full speed in 5 minutes for a nice quiet warm breeze. Going to make a little shelf to hold the candlelier and fan. This is my astronomy camping rig.

I have used this about a dozen times over the past year and it has done well. The zipper is starting to stick but I think it is due to dust from camping. Otherwise all is well with the tent.

In this video I am not using any inflatable mattress. I do have a later video that shows the deerfamy inflatable mattress that I have used. It can be found on amazon. In this video I just show the tent that I use.

How tall are you? I’m looking to buy one. I am 6’1 and wondering if I have enough room when I lay down. My Tacoma is the 5’ bed plus about a foot and half for tailgate. By the looks of where the tent door is I shouldn’t have any issue.

I’m 5’ 7” or so. With the way the tent goes to the edge of the tailgate there is plenty of room. Hope that helps. I have a link in the description of this video if you are considering buying one off amazon.

Awesome vid thanks for posting! Can you confirm that your tent is the 110765 Mid Size Short Bed 5’? What did you at 2:29 inside the tent? Just before that you go inside you can see the front sags forward and the front had a crease in it and says even more when you unzip it open but whatever you did when you went inside at 2:29 props it up so it doesn’t sag. Thanks in advance. I took this model camping this weekend and struggled with set up and can’t figure out if I bought the wrong model tent for my 2020 Tacoma or not.

That is the correct tent. There are some straps inside that you clip to the tailgate latches and when you tighten the straps it lifts the tent up.

The straps I tightened up at 2:29 are the orange straps inside the tent at the back. Hook them to something low inside the bed like the tailgate latch and pull them tight.

If you click the amazon link in the description it should take you to the 5 foot bed tent listing on amazon. From there you can select your bed size and change it to 6 feet. Hope that helps.

Just found. your video. Thank you for showing your set up. Quick question. My tacoma is a 6 foot bed and I just purchased a tonneau cover with ribs that rolls up. Would a 6 foot Rightline tent fit or should I try the 5 foot tent. Has anyone else had this query?

If you have a 6 foot bed I would buy the tent made for the 6 foot bed. You may end up with some of the tonneau cover inside the tent, but it shouldn't hurt anything.

@@ykvidz Hi! Yes, I bought a rightline pop up tent for my 6 foot bed Tacoma! I have taken the truck on three camping trips in a row in June! I have a rolled up tonneau cover and the tent works well with the cover! You have to play around with it a bit but it works! I love my pop up tent! Off for another adventure next week!!

Good deal. Glad you found it. It works well in the rain. My next video after this one is a camping trip I used it on. Rain fly worked well. It rained for about 12 hours with the tent up and I never got wet.

Why would you put a truck tent when you already have a soft topper that's like $1,000 defeats the purpose just put a air beds in the bottom

I’ve already answered this question multiple times in this comment section. The soft topper gets very hot inside and is not breathable. It’s like an oven. The tent is designed with ventilation and out of materials that keep it a hell of a lot cooler. Don’t believe me? Buy one and find out for yourself.

Okay I get it when I looked up mine I was going to get a softopper for my Dodge you can buy a front and rear screen to zip in....... I'll keep that in mind as I just bought a right-line tent from OfferUp new in the box for $80 the other day haven't tried it out yet
