I grew up in the 70’s and graduated from Glendora High School. As high schoolers we spent hours working with Mike on the Palace (it used to be called the “Tin Palace”). This was a time when the bottle house was in complete and Mrs Rubel entertained her Hollywood friends in the warehouse. Occasionally the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band would rehearse in the warehouse. I was thee when we had the mud slides that launched boulders into the back yard. I have many, many more stories I could share. What memories!

I was there in the early 70's a friend of mine, went to school with Mike. So knew him as friends. It had a long way to go! But it was Way Cool. I remember he had a Model T flatbed in the main room. And Pancho Villa's boots in a glass case. Just all kinds of Cool stuff!! And I believe Charles De Gaulle's limo in a shed!👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

What a cool spot! I'll add my vote to have you spend the night in the caboose. It does seem to have all the comforts of home...sort of. I love it when craftspeople like blacksmiths show off their skills, especially when they hand out samples as souvenirs. I have a "custom made" nail/spike from a blacksmith who was giving a demonstration at Fort Tejon.
