You can put bad edges on top of unsolved good edges to make it good 4. Moving pieces is not efficient at times, move the cross instead 4.5. Move solved cross pieces to solve unsolved cross pieces? 5. Use your inspection to do the cross without thinking 6. All the previous steps will be confusing at first. Watch and follow example solves to help better understand advanced cross better

@LiorOpler2 жыл бұрын
Same for me its so hard
@AnimilesYT2 жыл бұрын
@@LiorOpler In the last 2 days I've made my own method to practice this. I grab a pen and a piece of paper and then I write down the moves I have to do to make the cross without turning anything on the cube. If needed I make some notes where the pieces go, and I try to get as many pieces in place as possible. If I can't keep track of the pieces because I do too many moves then I'm not doing it efficiently enough. If I find a piece that is hard to put into place then I look for an easier piece and I see if I can use those moves to make the hard piece easier. I also avoid doing the easy pieces first since they can get in the way of the solve or I can make them solve themselves while solving another piece. Once I've figured out the moves I need to do to solve the cross then I do those moves without looking at the cube. Practicing the cross like this takes a long time. It can take well over a minute for me to solve the cross, but I hope I start to recognise patterns and I hope I'll eventually get faster at it. I can barely handle all 4 pieces this way, but I know how to solve the cube for like 5 years already (I haven't seriously practiced F2L before now though). So if this is still too hard for you then it may be better to focus on 2 or 3 pieces first. Like, try to figure out how to put 2 pieces in, and then without looking at the cube you put them in. And then you can figure out the other 2 pieces. If you've done that a few times you can try to do it with 3 pieces and then the last one. If you can do that regularly then you can try to do all 4. For me my next step is to try it without paper. I can already do the beginning without writing it down. When I can reliably do it without writing anything down then I'll start to time how long it takes. I hope you this technique works for you as well. If it doesn't then I hope it at least gave you an idea of how you can practice in a way that works for you :)

Honestly, my time improved immediately by spending longer figuring out my starting moves before starting. It might take me a minute or two, but I think teaching my brain to do this will help a lot. It’s the only time in the solve I get to plan ahead, so I may as well use it!

For scramble #2, you did (facing Red): R F L R D’ R’ D’ R2 (8 moves) I did (facing green): B’ L’ F’ R’ U L2 (6 moves)
@dakeypunchar6930 Жыл бұрын
If I say truly his solution is better as there is a difference of 2 moves and you do a lot of Rs Fs and Ds so you can do his solution faster than yours and legit L' is so hard if you think it while doing something. and we often use our left hand to hold our cube.

"Ignore the center pieces" is misleading. You still have to get them in the correct order, but you can align them with the centre pieces at the end. Many people in the comments misunderstood this, because they are complete beginners, and not just beginners to CFOP.

at 6:20 (the second scramble), facing green you could do: B' F' U R' L' F' L' or facing blue: F' R' B' L' U R2 (or for the opposite side of both cases, doing things from the other perspective, normally)

I don't really think it's good. Yes, there's lesser moves, but the use of the B face destroys the speed of the solve.

I know how to manipulate the pieces but the biggest problem is memorize and excute without stopping! ANYONE HELP ME
@marttielvisto35197 жыл бұрын
Tiago Vicente I had the exact same problem. What really helped is doing the cross blindfolded. Just scramble your cube, plan the cross in your head and solve it blindfolded. Doesn't matter how long it takes at first, just force yourself to do it. Do for example 12 crosses bld everyday for a week. It'll really help. Trust me
@tiagovicente56737 жыл бұрын
Martti Elvisto Nice! Thanks for the advice, i will try it!
@marttielvisto35197 жыл бұрын
Tiago Vicente NP! Also, don't worry about the cross execution speed or the execution being fluent. Once you can constantly do the cross BLD it's time to think abou that.

I only know the simple solve solution yet. But damn, this is what I will practice next (starting with the cross not looking at the white side, then continue blondfolded I guess) :)
@twolonet11183 жыл бұрын
I believe I found a more elegant solution for the second example solve (6:21). With yellow top and green front: B'L'F'R'UL2. In words: solve blue first, then "use one piece to insert another piece", move red piece over red center and insert. Pretty clean imo.
@kiwiEverything5 жыл бұрын
Learning that you can ignore the centers while doing cross changes everything for me!
