@Cliff Yablonski I am not stating Mr. Cater is not guilty or guilty. If Mr. Carter is guilty, why didn't the state of New Jersey seek a new trail? The state of New Jersey could have used DNA evidence. Since a United States Federal Judge found that Mr. Carter's legal rights were violated, Mr. Carter was released. Mr. Carter did have the support of Hollywood celebrities, Muhammad Ali, and others; yet, Mr. Carter is rumored to have severely assaulted Ms. Carolyn Kelley who was known to Muhammad Ali. Once rumors of Ms. Carolyn Kelley became known, Hollywood celebrities and Muhammad Ali no longer provided support.
@yehudahamaccabi94205 жыл бұрын
@Cliff Yablonski Thank you for your response. Legally, the late Mr. Carter is innocent, because a Federal US Judge found that the late Mr. Carter legal rights had been violated, which nullifies the state's convictions. Since the state of New Jersey didn't seek another trial, there is doubt concerning the state of New Jersey case against the late Mr. Rubin Carter. Would I be wrong in my assessment?

@Cliff Yablonski I'd like to research this and I tried to read this article but the writer comes across as having too much of an axe to grind with unnecessary lines like 'In perhaps the dumbest couplet of a dumb career, Dylan rhymes "trigger" with the N-word.' He doesn't come across as a guy that can look at this objectively and I say this as someone who is more suspicious of the media and Hollywood than he'll ever be.
@Shinreetlegna4 жыл бұрын
@@sevfan1 Cliff Yablonski appears to be trying so hard to share this opion piece to get his point across. Dude the court decided and agreed in the end that the Patterson Police done a miscarriage of justice by puporsefully witholding evidence regarding the case, which ended up working against them and added the Racist agenda and motivation to convict Rubin Carter in the first place. If Rubin was in fact guilty it wasn't Rubin's fault that he was set free, it was the incompetance of the Patterson Police and their proceedures. So no real need to read his article, because it's already been proven they done a incompetant investigation, that has no one else to blame but the Patterson Police. I rest my case.

It is said in the spiritual literature of the wisdom Vedas that this world is like a prison house. I personally will never disagree with that. It is full of misery, and yet it is temporary as well. But when I get my release, I want to be as joyful and bright eyed and full of compassion as Rubin Carter. He says he was never in prison. He says the world is paradise. I say he is a saint of immeasurable character. Some say the soul is amazing , and some cannot understand the soul at all. But living with our mind in spiritual matters is blissful, and makes one immune to the suffering. The happiness of a material life is simply the brief respite from unhappiness. That is the meagre happiness, that flash of relief from suffering. It is only in spiritual consciousness, God consciousness, in relationship with Krishna that we may be without the flaw of gross body and subtle mind tribulations. I am reading the Sixteenth Round written by Rubin. Thank you for reading if you did. I read Bhagavad - Gita As It Is. Praise God.

Innocent until proven guilty. Where's the proof?? The man's condemned because he's black, just like innocent people in the UK were convicted because they were Irish for IRA bombings they didn't commit and the police force has had to compensate them greatly. I guess you know better than the federal court judge who overturned the ruling in Rubin's case. He could see the conviction grounds were flimsy and racially motivated. 3% of death row inmates are innocent and some have been executed, then evidence that exonerates them comes to light afterwards. It's naive to think that everyone who is convicted / accused of something is guilty.

Cecilia Carmen Linda Brækhus (born 28 September 1981) is a Norwegian professional boxer and former kickboxer. In boxing she reigned as the undisputed female welterweight champion from 2014 to 2020, and is the first woman in any weight class to hold the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO titles simultaneously. She is also one of only 11 boxers in history, female or male, to hold all four major world titles simultaneously. In 2017, the Boxing Writers Association of America named Brækhus their inaugural Female Fighter of the Year. Guinness World Records awarded her with three recognitions in 2018: the Longest Reigning Female Boxing Champion, the Longest Reign as a Four-Belt Undisputed Boxing Champion, and the Most Bouts Undefeated by a Female World Champion Boxer. As of September 2020, she is ranked as the world's second best active female welterweight by The Ring and BoxRec, and the third best active female, pound-for-pound, by The Ring, fifth by ESPN, and sixth BoxRec. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cecilia_Br%C3%A6khus
