It would be really cool to do this on some sort of plastic film and for the "stars" some how use an acid or acetone to melt holes in the plastic then build a box with a light in it and back light it.

@Sephvion10 жыл бұрын
I'll tell you. :) The paint, in that area, began to dry a little too much. If you've done this type of art, you'll know that the paint dries relatively fast, so sometimes you have to add clear paint to re-wet spots you want to work with. He had to do this, because he wanted to give the planet a ring. Without the extra wetness, he would have had a harder time creating those rings.

What is the clear paint that you use? Is it to "seal" the lower layers of paint?
@AmanieAimee10 жыл бұрын
I think its to keep the paint "wet" I could be completely wrong though.
@ashleymonahan829910 жыл бұрын
Its used for a lot of things - mostly in this to keep the paint wet so the paint doesn't get too sticky. If it did, the magazine he put on there would get stuck, and that mountain would have been a disaster. Also, he wouldn't have been able to easily scrape the paint off when he did the mountain. Its technically a gloss - a clear coat, if you will. It can also be used to seal the lower layers at the very, very end.
@spacepainter10 жыл бұрын
to rewet the paint
@LudwigTheGhost10 жыл бұрын
Okay, so what exactly would I ask for when I go to buy spray paint?
