Ruby Falls is a 145-foot high underground waterfall located within Lookout Mountain, near Chattanooga, Tennessee. The cave which houses Ruby Falls was formed with the formation of Lookout
Mountain. About 200 to 240 million years ago (in the Carboniferous Period, at the end of the Paleozoic Era) the eastern Tennessee area was covered with a shallow sea, the sediments of which eventually formed limestone rock. The Falls are located at the end of the main passage of Ruby Falls Cave, in a large vertical shaft. The stream, 1120 feet underground, is fed both by rainwater and natural springs. It collects in a pool in the cave floor and then continues through the mountain until finally joining the Tennessee River at the base of Lookout Mountain.

Went here in the 8th grade and when i was younger i was terrified of elevator's and did not want to get on and the teachers made we were on a 3-4 day field trip from Seneca SC and got on the elevator it kinda rocked a little but i kept calm on the way down and once underground i was blown away and the walk and once we got to the water fall it was breath taking and worth getting on that elevator and the ride back up wasn't bad and is the day i got over my paranoia of elevator's. And now at 26 I'm saving up some money and want to bring my family here this summer and relieve the memory from 8th grade and won't be frightened getting on the elevator again and hopefully they'll have it repaired by summer saw where they were working on it. And plus in 8th grade visited the aquarium and rode a ferry ⛴️ down the Chattanooga River while dining on the boat and getting to rom around and see the river one of the best field trip and vacation i hade and so ready to go back this summer with my family

unfortunately didn't have the time and was heading north. Got to the parking lot and it was $50 to get in and I only had one hour so it wasn't worth it. Next Time. Still have some videos from Mammoth Caves National Park, Mothman Museum and other places in the south. So keep watching.

Kool Buildings Holy cow fifty bucks! I was there in 91 when I was 12 so I don’t remember what it cost then. Lol. Still a fun place though. I haven’t been to Mammoth Caves. I’ll be looking forward to your video on that.

A lot of places are ridiculously expensive now. The Ark in Kentucky averages to around $60-65 with parking. Luckily they covered my ticket to film my video which is free promotion for them. House in the Rock is $25 to get in. Most national parks are now $20 as well. The Botanical Garden in Montreal cost me $35 with parking. Soon it will be fifty bucks to get into a national park.
