@jenniferfranke2138 Please remember, and possibly share with the kids? Just as much as Kevin & the rest of the family feel is ok...not to be hurtful at all, just thought maybe knowing LOTS of people care about them and are praying for them everyday, might help them see that NONE of this IS THEIR FAULT... That LOTS of prayers are being said for ALL of the Franke kids. No one deserves this kind of treatment, most of all NOT children, AND NOT that this matters, (because NO CHILD deserves ABUSE!!) But MOST of all, NOT THESE WELL-BEHAVED, YOUNG, & INNOCENT CHILDREN. ALL of it broke my heart.....as The Mother of an "ANGEL", Ruby doesn't realize just HOW BLESSED she is, or rather she WAS, to have had all her 6 kids home with her, Happy, Healthy & With what should have been well-adjusted kids. Instead, She took those 6 gifts given to her by God, and she didnt do her God given job, Simply to PROTECT them, NOT HARM them. I'd give ANYTHING to have my son back, to have my family back whole. That is something we cn never have back. I pray these kids are able to find the strength God has instilled in them, and they will find ways to heal, find their own mark in this world, what God must have planned for them....I bet they will grow up & do AMAZING things! Probably for kids who experience the awful things they endured as well. They will hopefully find even more healing as they help others......I pray their physical recovery is quick, as well as their mental and emotional recovery. While I know the latter will be a more of a battle for them, I pray God gives them the healing, strength & PEACE they each need. Their stories are NOT over, and one day we all will watch them with awesome wonder with their stories and their road back to 110% complete recovery! GOD BLESS EACH ONE OF THESE CHILDREN!!! † Prayers & Blessings.....from Indiana \(^o^)/

I've studied law and psychology and I said something very similar on Reddit. My take was: "What Jodi gave Ruby PERMISSION (that's the exact verbage I used) to openly express the anger and sadism that was simmering just below the surface. Jodi supplied the language Ruby needed to cloud those acts of hate and violence under the guise of moral superiority. For a narcissist, that stamp of approval and encouragement is like saying pass go and collect your 200 hundred. Lean in and be everything You've been hiding. Ruby had all of that rage and potential to abuse inside of her way before she met Jodi" I also commented that my sadistic abusive ex knew exactly when to deliver apologies like this and as sincere as they sound, you need to trust what you see not what you hear.

She asked Julie why she tried to sneak the toy pass her(Ruby). Julie, very nervesous, answered that she was scared of getting in trouble. The whole video clip is troubling, you can see the two girls being very uncomfortable. This is years before Jodi was apart of Ruby's life.

The answer is narcissism. Ab*se and coddling causes it, then you grow up to be like Ruby. Then you do those same things to your own kids and a new batch of narcissists are created. It’s the same reason why Catholics have a lot of narcissists. My dad was raised Catholic and was IDENTICAL to Ruby’s parenting style. He was also a narc (deceased now). It’s amazing what fear of going to h3ll will do to people. Instead of leading with love like Jesus taught, they’re taught that they have to fight for that spot in heaven and that the devil is everywhere trying to temp you to lose that spot (breeds paranoia). And that’s pretty damn stressful. This is why you don’t see much narcissism in say… buddhism or Hinduism. They don’t believe in h3ll and what they DO believe in (karma) they choose not to lead with that fear.

Ruby denying being in a business partnership with Jodi (despite the online message being that they are/were) feels like trying to distance herself from anything suggesting that she and Jodi were ever on equal footing, this is important if trying to imply that she was merely misled by a coach/leader/counsellor whilst being the passive role.

Could also be to help protect her from being sued when Jodi gets sued imo. ;)

The judge was wrong in his sentencing. Ruby shouldn't get out until her children are adults... like the youngest 21 years of age!
@cynthiagimbel659011 ай бұрын
Sentence will b determined later, by parole board. Judge simply gave the longest range: 4 consecutive periods of 1 to 15 yrs, but capped in that state at 30 yrs. So, 4 to 30 is the range. I agree Ruby stay in prison 'til all kids legal adults and I would want even longer. Jodi deserves the max IMO: 30 yrs. and parole denial that entire time.
@kannyplay983111 ай бұрын
@cynthiagimbel6590 the judge could have added that the children needed protected, and added the recommendation.

Agree though I guess I was thinking 18. That would be 8 years for Ruby. More for Jodi.

This is really helpful. Ruby callied her kids "chicks" and never used their names. No authenticity. Everything sounded like psycho-babble. Ruby and her lawyer and her parents probably came up with the story together, since her parents used the same words and her lawyer spoke in similar terms too.

I don't think Ruby was remorseful at all. A bit of a tone just enough to hear the snark and resentment that she feels because she has to say anything at all. She is saying all the things that would sound good to a judge. But none of it heartfelt.
@janicegreene359911 ай бұрын
I have heard so many You Tubers say they think Ruby is very sincere. Sounds like the Judge believed her. Have these people seen any of her videos on Eight Passengers? Ruby was doing awful things to her children BEFORE Jodi moved in!! And what about what she said after her arrest in Court about RF? That was so evil!! You are so correct…the only difference between Lori and her is that by a miracle her children survived. She should be facing attempted murder charges!

During her first court appearance, she said RF was looking a porn from 3 years old or something. Why didn’t she apologize to him for continuing his abuse as he had to be housed apart from his siblings in state care (Shari). Russell was supposed to have gone elsewhere. No apology to him?! I hope she gets until Eve is an adult. That’s 8 years. She deserves it. Jodi deserves much more. Water in jails and prisons is often not filtered so might be too full of rust or lime. It’s often not treated by water softeners or things like that on site.

You guys rock as a team for justice! Dr. John's comments about Ruby are so affirming to us listening to our intuition. For many of us who want to be forgiving and nonjudgmental, we need to balance that with holding criminals accountable for their behavior. Ruby came across as remorseful, but understanding mental illness and narcissism, it's pretty obvious she isn't.

Thank you Dr. John and Lauren for addressing the elephant in the room. I had my suspicions about Jodi. She was always trying to separate Wives from their Husbands and punish the Husbands, according to everything I watched on different you tube videos. She succeeded with Ruby and Kevin Franke, and a couple of other families.

It is important to "call a duck a duck" so to speak. If anything the censorship serves to minimize the severity of the topics at hand. Dr. John, how long does it take to heal, help both the perpetrators and victims? Years? More & more in court it seems expected that by the time they go to court they have been changed. Both by the judge & the public. I think their attitude says more than words in these cases. They are going to prison to start the healing process, the process of changing or not changing?

When I worked at a drug treatment center for women with children their drug court graduation talks often sounded like what Ruby had to say. "Thank to the officers who arrested me. Thank you to the CPS workers, foster parents thank you to ....... for having boundaries with me, holding me accountable for my actions. I was lost in my own mind and now I'm free." I could tell the ones who were sincere and the ones who were just glad to be out of there. I hope that the parole board will speak to at the very least the adult children and Kevin about their wishes. I hope Ruby gets the help she needs and I hope that she is in prison until at the very least her youngest is an adult. She should never have any visitation with her minor children.
