When you look at the video of Ruby and Jodi at hour 1:01.. @tiger.wolf.2033 Жыл бұрын
Exactly. And last night I just asked one question in another channel here in this platform: where was Ruby when her kids were left alone for days in that big house, without food and no one to care for them? I really don't remember a day I was left alone at home when I was a little child. I was always in company of somebody who played with me, who taught me something, like reading or writing, who would pick me up from school, or if my grandma had to leave for some minutes, she would call a girl in the neighborhood to be with me -- and it never took one or two hours or 10 days for grandma to be back! Now, I watch these videos, I read the articles and testimonies of neighbors... and the fact that even the neighbors contacted CPS?! it can't be real... !!! how come could all this tragedy happen if not for the lack of responsibility of Ruby and her husband?! Police ignored even her daughter's call to 911 and CPS?! There are many people and institutions responsible here, and the role the Mormon sect played in it must not be ignored either! The neighbor who called 911 said "there have been problems in that house"... If he knew that, I bet all my stocks the whole neighborhood knew it too.

Also someone give Kevin some balls. WTF is wrong with that man!? I pray these children get placed in a truly safe and loving environment. Utah has very lenient child protective laws… there are schools like Provo Canyon where I believe Jodi worked that teach similar beliefs. I know because I went to one and I can’t stop digging in on this case because the principals she teaches are so eerily similar. Paris Hilton (I went to school with) made reference of this in her recent documentary. In Adam Steeds interview he mentions that Jodi bragged that she worked with Paris. What I find the most telling about Jodi, besides just the obvious crazy comments and her sick need to control others, is that her husband got custody of the kids when they divorced, and the kids were only 8 and 10 years old. That is an incredible rarity in the Mormon religion, so you have to wonder what was going on that those kids ended up with the dad, and I think at least one of them has no contact with Jodi today.

Very interesting that Jodi admits that she went into graduate school very sick, which right there should’ve told her that she has no business being a therapist for other people, but of course she didn’t recognize that and began harming people right away when she got out and became licensed.

The way she thinks depression and other clinical diagnoses are the person’s fault is sickening! I had Postpartum psychosis after my 3rd child was born and I certainly didn’t bring that on myself. She is diminishing chemical imbalances in the brain and trauma (that are definitely not a choice)!

Jodi has been working with the family for many years. The constant statements about Ruby’s problematic videos being “before Jodi” are factually incorrect. Perpetuating untruths muddies the situation. Ruby is still a guilty abuser regardless. Jodi has been slowly building influence and gaining control for years. She started as counselor to Ruby’s brother and then became a counselor/parenting coach to Ruby and her older son.
@maedeanmyers6229 Жыл бұрын
Oh, it's just so heartbreaking for those children whose trust in the adults meant to guide and protect them has now been broken. I also appreciated Dr. John's observation that Jodi's theory is rooted in basics of CBT. But she fails to grasp the absolutely essential factors of a therapeutic relationship-empathy, unconditional positive regard for the person, and congruence. In fact, I believe NXIM, in similar fashion, twisted the principles of CBT and left out those elements. And then I'm also confused by how she was able to justify having dual relationships with clients? There is so much that is problematic. Jessi has tremendous courage for speaking out. I truly hope the children get the best support possible in their healing and recovery.

Why do you keep shielding LDS from criticism? Fact is: Jodi Hildebrandt had been at the TOP of an LDS bishop‘s list of RECOMMENDED (!) therapists. Fact also is that LDS was paying Jodi boatloads of money, funding her millionaire lifestyle. I want to see a deep dive into THIS. Why are there ZERO interviews with that bishop? Heck - we don’t even know his name? How much money did LDS give Hildebrandt? And what exactly was it that made them so enthusiastic about her and her „work“ that they primarily recommended HER out of all people? You would think that the state of Utah also has actually PROFESSIONAL therapists.

@mads597 Жыл бұрын
@@taxiuniversumabsolutely a key feature. I would classify JH as more of an independent contractor than a henchman, however. She had a mutually beneficial dynamic with the church and BYU. But her allegiance was always self-contained as she was developing her independent vehicle to gaining power (connexions therapy business). This is reflected in Chad Daybell’s budding cult following, started with his published books as the initial hook, and in Tim Ballard’s endgame plan for theocratic domination, starting with the Op. Underground Railroad movie and recruitment efforts as a lure for support.
