• Curd Rice /Thairu Sada... - thairu sadam
Ingredients
a:
Rice -1 cup
Tamarind-lemon sized
Water-1/2cup
Sesame oil-
Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
Asafoetida powder-2pinch
Mustard seeds -1/2tsp
Chana dal-1tsp
Urad dal-1tsp
Curry leaves -
Peanuts -2tbsp
Salt-
Jaggery -small piece
b:
For roasting
Chana dal-1 1/2 tbsp
Urad dal-1tbsp
Coriander seeds-1/2tbsp
Fenugreek seeds-1/4tsp
Sesame seeds-1/2tsp
Dry red chilli-4
Method
Cook the rice and keep aside .
Heat oil and roast all under section b ..aftr cooling down grind to corse powder .
Heat oil and splutter mustard seeds then roast ,chana dal,urad dal ,peanuts .Add curryleaves and powders ,saute well.
Now add tamarind water salt and jaggery ..
Cook for 10 minutes in medium flame .
Now mix these tamarind paste with the rice gently .
Then add spice powders ..Mix ..
Check the taste ,adjust accordingly
So the tasty puliyodharai is ready to serve ..
