The whole regret thing is a lie MAJOR SPOILER . . . . . Hitogami (not the man god) said that so rudeus wouldn't go to the begarith continent and by doing so, meeting again with Roxy, if he hadn't went on the trip, she would have died on the dungeon and the daughter of rudeus and Roxy wouldn't have been born, Lara is the real threat to hitogami since she's the one that will kill him, and that's not the last try of hitogami to get Roxy killed, and the next one works TOO well... . . .

The dub is fine but Rudy's VA is not something I can deal with, he sounds way to feminine for his age. Same reason I watch Dubbed for dragon ball instead of sub.

Massive downgrade as it completely took away Rudeus's commitment to his oath to Sylphie and retroactively made Elinalise come as far less heinous than she was in the source material.

@@nikm3r I can't agree. Rudeus looks weak hearted and easy without that. In the LN Elinalise simply looks cunning, not evil and it shows how much she cared for Roxy. Honestly, his decision being a mixture of love and the desire of taking responsibility shows how Rudeus chooses the more mature path (sadly, lots of married men out there would simply run away after knocking up a fling). I never questioned his love of Roxy, it was apparent in the conflict in his mind. The obstacle was his desire to stay loyal, and Elinalise's action showed that Rudeus would have stayed loyal in a normal situation. On my second watch of the season, I saw it with my sister, who hasn't read the LN. I had to explain some things to her, but her initial impression was that Rudeus was likely going to add more wives without much thought (or at the drop of a hat). In the LN you never get that impression. You know he'll only let women special to him into the family, and you know he'll try to stay loyal to them (specially after the pain of his first indiscretion).

This anime, and previously, the LN, had such a profound impact on me, and now that the anime will be away for a bit, I feel a mini version of that ''empty-ness' in my heart, similar to how I felt when I finished the LN . Im so glad that this vid, will be the send-off for the second season. See you all in Season 3. Thank you Magonote for making this novel. Thank you to the animators who made this amazing series. And thank you AniNews for the vids, which gave the anime, a whole different flavour.

Elinalise's trick does a few things. It shows Elinalise's cunning and how much she cared for Roxy, and it shows Rudeus taking the mature choice. Without it he looks easy. Honestly, I never doubted his love for Roxy, it was obvious from all the conflict in his mind. The real obstacle in those events is Rudeus desire to stay loyal. Which is commendable in most people's eyes. It shows he does have the will power to stay loyal in normal situations. I re-watched the season and brought my sister along, and without the context her initial impression was that Rudeus was going to keep adding wives at the drop of a hat, for no special reason. But anyone who has read the LN can tell he does have a sense of loyalty and it won't be that simple (I would use better words here, but I'm trying not to spoil too much here).

To make the counterargument, Rudeus knew that he was going to have to explain the situation to his sisters sooner or later. It's a lot easier to handle that sort of thing in one conversation, especially if Sylphie reacted negatively then she would've had the support of Norn and Aisha right then and there.

The only thing that I'm genuinely disappointed by is that they didn't change Rudy's voice actor as he got older. The voice actor he has is great, don't get me wrong, but being realistic Rudy would develop a more manly voice. Really loved the Mushoku shirt package, I got it a few days ago That said, you weren't lying when you said they were generously large. I'm just a liiiiiittle too large to fit into medium shirts, so I opted for large, but I should have heeded your advice and gotten the medium ones. One thing I think they didn't really do enough to make clear in the anime is that Sylphie wasn't begrudgingly accepting Roxy. She was honestly pretty relieved and happy about it. She knew he would end up coming home with someone one day, and her main concern was whether or not the person he brought home would love him like she does, so when she saw how Roxy looked at him, it made her happy both for Rudy and because she'd have someone she could relate to and share this feeling with. Beyond that, Rudy can also be..... kind of a lot, and she felt trying to fulfill his desires on her own was a little burdensome, so having someone else around to share that burden with was a relief to her, and since she could tell how sincere Roxy was about Rudy, not only did she not have a problem with it, she was relieved and excited.
