hello i am a antique sword collector. the sword you are referring to around 18:40 is called a "hanger". it is the land version of a cutlass and the hilts were very similar until the beginning of the 19th century when cutlasses starting getting the bowl hilt they are known for now. hangers were most popular in the 18th century when sword bayonets were not yet a thing and soldiers needed a close range weapon for when a rifle and socketed spike bayonet was too much. hangers are considered short swords and full coverage hilts like this were uncommon they did exist. most hangers and all the hangers i personally own are longer then this usually around the 24 inch blade length range. the blade with the end curving forward and then back is called a yataghan style blade based off the ottoman yataghans. they became popular in Europe in the 19th century and made their way into dozens of nations militaries mostly as sword bayonets with 20-26 or so inch blades very similar size to the hangers they replaced. anywho this shorter blade with a complex hilt is serving the role of a parrying dagger being used in the off hand with a longer sword. short enough not to get in the way of the movements of the bigger blade but big enough to stop a full sized sword. besides hand protection, the complex hilt moves a lot of the weight towards the hand meaning the "strong" of the blade used for parrying is most of the blade. this style of fighting is mostly spanish and italian but draws some parallels with some japanese systems of using a wakizashi is the off hand with a katana.

Geese is an apostle but also has free will. He likes Paul, Zenith, and Rudy. He wrote to help the family. Later he sent a declaration of war to Rudy and ticked off Hitogami. They lost element of surprise and Hitogami didn't like that. Geese explained it as backing himself into a corner so he couldn't withdraw from the kill Rudy plan because he really did like and respect Rudy.
