I’m confused how can they be dead wrong if they have an opinion that is opposite of yours. I’m a father of two boys and I spend a lot of time with them. I see absolutely nothing wrong with coming to the hospital after they are born. The kids won’t understand and the mother is in good hands with family and the doctors

It is important to be there to make decisions just in case your wife can't. Your career can wait for a day or two while you attend to your child and wife or mother of your child.

The baby won't remember that moment, but Rudy will remember seeing the miracle of the birth of his child for the rest of his life. Watching his child grow from birth into an adult. Going through the ups and downs of raising a child. Then seeing his child now as an adult. That moment, when he thinks of that journey, the feeling of being thankful, grateful and filled with love will make that decision to see his child's birth even more special.

Don't most athletes plan their babies around the season? Certainly, they'd want to avoid having these problems during the playoffs. Also, Rudy's kid was born a day before the game. Unless the mother had complications, he should've played.

Most men were not there for their children's birth! They were at war, working MILES away, etc. To miss a playoff game for THIS is stupid. Injuries, health concerns etc for your family or children is 1 thing. The birth??! 😒
