Gil's Arena DESTROYS George Karl for Disrespecting Carmelo Anthony as Gilbert Arenas, Kenyon Martin and the rest of the Gil's Arena Crew react to the war of words exchanged between Melo and the Legendary NBA Head Coach, where Kenyon does not mince words on his true feelings towards Karl in defense of his former teammate.
Gil’s Arena premieres every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET.

A statement should be judged based on its validity not based on whether or not it was nice to say it. Did most of the players actually not have their fathers in their lives? I went to a coaches luncheon right after the Bucks lost to the Allen Iverson,Philly team. The thing I remember the most was how badly he talked about Ray Allen, Big Dog, and Cassell. He just went off the rack on how lazy they were, didn’t practice hard, played no defense and no work ethic. I was shocked. It was the first time I heard Coach say anything like that about his players to the public. Even if those were issues, they usually stayed in the locker room with the players and the coach. It’s almost like he wanted to embarrass them. I personally thought these guys were young you can build with them, teach them. If those were issues you frame it in away to motivate and build. It was strange sitting there listening to him talk so negatively about those guys. I left the luncheon in shock, I just couldn’t believe it. I just kept thinking you made it to game seven, could’ve made it to the finals so much to build on. So this doesn’t surprise me.

Its true about melo's defense in the regular season. But playoffs and big games in the regular season he showed up on both sides of the ball. He took the challenge of guarding kobe in the playoffs, wasnt scared of guarding lebron or paul pierce. He just didnt perform in games he thought didnt matter. But melo was a big game player that showed up on both ends in the playoffs.

Losing to stacked Lakers team, and stacked Celtics or Heat team don't have shit to do with not playing defense in the regular season. He's always been the only fearless dog on his team outside of billups in the playoffs. He's never cheated his team in big games or big series. All the stars that won chips have tailor made teams built around them with great talent in stars or role players. Melo never had that.

Didn't Melo have issues with coaches in NY as well?
@highdeff17
@highdeff17 2 ай бұрын
@@BruvahSulaiman Melo had no issues with anyone in NY aside fron Phil Jackson. Multiple players on the Knicks including Derrick Rose had an issue with Phil because Phil didn’t want the Knicks to win without the triangle. He also was a GM and kept trying to force the coach to use the triangle even when he saw it wasn’t working. Rose spoke on that situation as well. The Knicks would win and blow teams out without the triangle and Phil would hold meetings being angry they didn’t use the triangle. That’s why you would see in the first half of games the Knicks would be destroying whoever they were playing, and then halftime Phil would make them use the triangle and the lead would disappear immediately.
