For real, and I can't figure out why. Plenty more great stories to be told, but somewhere in the last 2 decades they just decided that they need to make Fast and Furious 287 etc.

This movie inspired me so many times. It's about overcoming adversity, and never, ever giving up on your dreams to prove to YOURSELF that you can do it. And not letting others dictate YOUR life or goals.

As I was approaching my 30's I started getting interested in Running a Marathon. When I told some people, they doughted me that I didn't have what it took to run a Race b/c they claimed they couldn't do it. I didn't let anyone tell me I couldn't do it. I followed my goals and I've done over 10 Races now in over 4 years! I don't plan on stopping anytime soon!

there are many sports movies with that inspirational scene. Many filmmakers mistake by making the powerful scene a speech before the big game. This little speech, this little scene has the most power out of many movies that i have seen.

@Trackrunnerful i feel the same way bro. My senior year i did high jump in track and was cut from the indoor high jump team. But after watching this i motivated myself to be the best and made the outdoor track team. i gain 10 inches in 2 months and became the number 1 high jumper in my league, and a top contender in my state. I'm now gonna do high jump in a div 1 college. Just like the janitor said," in this lifetime you don't have to prove something to nobody but yourself.and that what i did.

That's what the hockey players in the Vancouver Canucks' dressing room were chanting and calling defenseman Lee Sweatt because of his size. RUDY!! RUDY!! RUDY!! The Vancouver Canucks saw this movie. And guess what? Lee Sweatt (5'7 tall) scored his first goal in his first NHL game on January 25, 2011 against the Nashville Predators. Looks like this movie was an inspiration for him and to anybody who would like to get over the negative thought of being too small to play the game. Any game.

I wish I could find the scene when Rudy brings the key back to Fortune. Rudy does all the talking and I wasn't sure if Fortune was listening until he tells Rudy as he's walking away, "If you dress for a game, i'll be there." Very underrated scene in the movie.

I reckon hard work is only admirable if it's done for yourself. If you have to tell everyone else about it, then it's done for other people - it's done for your ego. A lot of popular comments on here are egotistical. Achievements don't mean shit if you tell everyone about it.
@Celfers3413 жыл бұрын
So Sad I was told my freshmen year I would never succeed because being 6 foot 120 pounds playing for one of the biggest high schools and best basketball programs in ohio i would not play so I was cut. My 10th grade year I made the team and lead the state in points per game and rebounds same with Junior year I tore my Acl. I was told to not play sports again but hell no I worked hard and let my team to the State title an just finished my last year of Division 1 basketball and will declare 4 draft
