Still cry every time I watch. Never seen Titanic. Rudy, seen in theater as a teen when it first came out. Purchased the movie when it first came out on VHS, still have it, now its the 25th Anniversary, this month on theaters, AND still cry to this day. To this day, still haven't watched Titanic.

The beauty of this movie is that you dont have to be a fan Notre Dame, or be a fan of football, or even be a fan of sports. The beauty of this movie, is that of passion. To be passionate about something, anything, in your life thats worth giving yourself for. Motivating yourself to accomplish a set of goals that will in turn get you closer to that end goal. Rudy wanted nothing more than to run out of that tunnel, no matter the reasons, and he reached that goal. This movie shows you that if you want something bad enough, and are willing to give yourself completely, you can do it. YOU can do it!!

Tom who Who suggested you had to be at Notre Dame to like the movie Rudy? Norte Dame came off like a bunch of assholes they weren’t even gonna let him suit up until teammates went to bat for him. The name of the movie is Rudy not Notre Dame. Way too many people say words just to say words. People watch movies for actor portrayals of interesting stories. My Dad went to a Catholic School in Canada and got a football scholarship to Fullerton College in 1956. His life dream was to play football for Notre Dame, but his knew blew out while playing at Fullerton, his dream was crushed. My Dad is THE BIGGEST DOTRE DAME FAN, you will ever know!!! My parent's den is filled with photos, a brick he bought while visiting Notre Dame, memorabilia, ticket stubs and for his 65th birthday (2003) I wrote a letter to Father Hesburgh asking if he would send my dad a letter acknowledging his birthday and bless him, he did! My Dad has this letter framed and on his wall of pride. When my parents went to visit Notre Dame, my Dad walked onto the grounds and teared up, he was on 'holy ground'. He went to the grotto and prayed, mostly thanking God for allowing him to be at Notre Dame. I bookmarked this video as I'm going to give Rudy's speech as a Eulogy at my Dad's funeral, or his Irish wake but I pray it's many, many years away. My whole family has seen this movie Rudy countless times, as per my Dad's "request", lol. In all seriousness, the words Notre Dame are sacred in my family.

This scene is so powerful it makes me so emotional. How Rudy’s passion and heart is so contagious it pierces through Fortunes disgruntled defensive walls. Because he said it himself later in the film, that not a day goes by he regrets quitting. So seeing the no quit attitude from somehow who appears have no chance, so strong and motivated is breath taking. Damn I love this movie. I comeback to this scene every time I feel down.

Went to my first Notre Dame game against Navy with my daughter. I’m 44 and been a life long dream to step foot in that stadium. When I was a kid I remember just how much I wanted to go to Notre Dame to play football or even just to step on campus. I’m not gonna lie I was so excited to step foot in Notre Dame stadium I was choked up. Nothing but chills I even had tears in my eyes my daughter asked me what was wrong I told her nothing was wrong I was just excited cause it was a life long dream to be at a game at this majestic nostalgic stadium. I dreamed of that day since I was old enough to understand football. It was a dream come true for me may sound dumb to ppl but for me was a bucket list. To here Knute Rockne in the Notre Dame pump up video made me realize how lucky I am to have my family and be able to knock off bucket list things with my daughters. She’s my football buddy my youngest. My oldest is my fishing and baseball buddy. Glad to share such awesome events with my kids. Last night was epic for me thank you Notre Dame football for a life time of looking forward to. Can’t wait to go again best stadium I’ve ever stepped foot in!!!☘️☘️☘️💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Sometimes a winner who is a dreamer who just won't quit I thought this movie inspired me because I was told no in high school I couldn't compete and I had to fight for acceptance sometimes to this day it's still isn't right I believe high school and college athletics need to play unified because everyone should have a chance
@jrayner216796 жыл бұрын
Wait so now kids that suck should be on the team in high school an college? And division one colleges should give everyone a chance to play? Should everyone get a fucking scholarship to or? I’m willing to bet that your parents house is full of trophies! Participation trophies that is. Some people just aren’t good enough to entertain, that’s what sports is. It is enjoyment for those who play and entertainment for those watching. That’s why Little League games from your town aren’t on TV. And this is why they give away scholarships so they can attract eyes so that people pay to see them play and what not. So what happened you were told no in high school did you end up playing in college or what? If you play athletics at any school it is an achievement. I was lucky enough to play a sport in college and I only got there because I worked hard. You’re suggesting that everyone should get a chance then how do we differentiate ourselves from one another? I practice I work hard I’m good at something yet do you get to play also? These liberal lefties are a cancer ladies and gentlemen. They’re turning Democrats into Republicans and when they don’t get their way they say stupid shit like this or they accuse someone of sexually assaulting them. I don’t even understand what you mean by play unified? To this day there a local sporting leagues that you can play to enjoy yourself but if someone can use sports to get an education for themselves or actually play a sport and make money doing it who are you to say that you have the right to do it to? They have club sports in college so everyone can play but interscholastic sports in high school and college are for the elite and if someone told you no in high school it was because you weren’t good enough. Now if you couldn’t get acceptance from anyone at the school because you didn’t play a sport then you should’ve changed schools because that school sucks. When you get to high school you’re getting to that age when you should learn that you’re going to hear more no’s in your life then yes’s, and in sports if you don’t practice your craft you don’t play. This is why when interviewing for jobs after college a lot of managers seek athletes. You weren’t good enough to play a sport in high school, you should get over it and stop whining like a bitch. I’d love to drive a racecar but they don’t let everyone do that same goes for sports.

There is more truth to this movie (and moves like The Rookie) than one will ever realize. If you really really want something bad enough in life - your heart, passion and drive can make up for a lot of what you do not have in skill and can make it happen. Never ever give up if it's in your heart - and of course prayers to The Lord and Mary help.
