I've been working on a book but in a week or two I"m going to start doing a LOT of short, helpful videos with all my new tech toys. I hate the tech toys but they help the videos!

These videos are incredibly helpful! I am so great full. I just decided to try this art form and have found so much helpful information here. What a great teacher! I don’t have a store in my area, so ordered everything on line following what I have learned so far. Can’t wait to begin. I feel fairly confident I can do this because of all your videos. Thank you so much.

My favorite line: "If I were a beginner and I didn't want to invest a lot of money into something that I wasn't sure i was going to like yet, although I've done it 1000xs, " Too true.

Had no idea that you were supposed to create a "tail" with the first "hook." I had all of my tails on the backside and it looks a mess! My very first rug, though :-). Also appreciate the tip on how to turn corners with shapes. I hooked a crescent moon that looks like a lump of yellow melted moon. Next rug is going to be beautiful because of your great explanations. Thank you, Deana!

Don't worry about the tails. If you got through it without pulling all the noodles out then you did perfect!

Do I need to wash all of my wool before cutting?
@RibbonCandyHooking2 жыл бұрын
If you are using recycled wool I would just in case there's any sort of moth eggs food food anything on it that might attract moths in the future I would you can wash it on regular hot or warm and dry it the same way you want it to shrink a little bit so it's easier to work with but you don't want it to shrink so much that it turns into felt so I just do it on my normal setting wash in wash and dry. If I have small bits that I cut I put them in a laundry bag so they don't throttle the agitator inside the washing machine.
