The funny thing is the ref tried to help them and they still fumbled 😂. He disallowed Kuruvolis fancy dummy pass to break through and was on his way to the try line when he was called back and then the first try was clearly play on the ground which is one of the reason Australian fans immediately switched because it popped up on the replay yet the ref still called it a knock on from Fiji 😂. The ref damn near ruined his reputation trying to get the aussies to win and they still fumbled.

If it was a mistake the ref and tmo would’ve revoked the try after the replay was shown which is what they do to Fiji everytime they do similar shit to get a try. You even hear the captain for Fiji arguing with the ref to look at the replay and after the ref looked at the replay he still went with his decision and told the captain it was a knock on which is why the Australian crowd starting booing. They started switching sides after that shit. With Fiji the refs have literally taken off points from the score board even after it was added. Against Japan Fiji had 2 converted tries taken off the board after the tmo and ref reviewed and found foul play but when other teams do it so often against Fiji tries aren’t revoked. There’s even another part where Fiji could’ve literally scored since the ball was in play and the Fijian prop just picked it up and walked under the post to try but the ref called it back. Go watch the rugby pod and the breakdown. They literally breakdown all the crap the ref was doing to keep the Australian in the game. Even wildkard usually calls out the poor reffing against Fiji in his Fijian games reviews but because Fiji was up against his home team he didn’t do so which I don’t blame him for because that his HOME TEAM.

Was in a pub in Dublin(I’m Irish) 2 Aussies came over to watch the match with me and I told them they would lose the match. Poor guys were more excited about the pub crawl later on than the actual match. Felt bad for them, Australia have dropped off so much in the last few years! They did tell me that rugby league does rob all the best players from union which I didn’t know but is also really unfortunate cause I grew up with the Aussies being one of the strongest teams in the world. Hopefully this is a wake up call for the ARU to wake the fuck up and get their act together because this drop in form is not acceptable

Oh wow, I'm from the same school as you. I grew up with Australian teams fiekding guys like Lynagh, Campese and Eales. Then later the THAT team with Larkham, Gregan, Burke and Latham. In my formative years, Australia wasn't merely good, they were terrifying. There is some credence to the theory those gentlemen have. Your favourite sport usually takes your best athletes - and Rugby Union is #4 on the list behind cricket, Aussie rules and Rugby League; but it should also be noted that this has always been the case. We know that there are ups and downs and when one group of players leavez you can expect a drop in form for quite a while before your coaches are able to rebuild your team. Australia has had a very long lull since their 2015 final appearance, so maybe we are seeing them right before their upswing.

Fellas I am Aussie, been following wallabies since 1980s. Australian rugby has been in steady decline since 2003 RWC - due directly to mismanagement by Rugby Australia. No investment in grassroots rugby. It's a minor sport played only at private schools. It cannot compete with NRL or AFL. It is sad, but responsibilty sits squarely with Rugby Au.

If they got as much turnovers against wales that they got against Aussie wales would’ve gotten thrashed. They only lost against wales due to the poor kicking. If they let Kuruvoli kick they would’ve won that game.
