I am a big fan of the .22 magnum cartridge. I bought a Ruger Single Six with a 6.5 inch barrel 40 years ago, and carried it a lot in the Mojave desert and the Sierra Nevada mountains. One of the things I like about it is the flat trajectory, making it relatively easy to make hits at a very long range. It is too long to use for concealed carry. In recent years I tried a Ruger LCRx for concealed carry, but because of arthritis in my trigger finger, it is very difficult for me to use double action. I also find the trigger to have a sharp edge and the hammer spur to be relatively small, so it is not very comfortable to shoot single action.

I have never seen a Buffalo Outdoors video that was a "Negative Review" of anything, that I can remember. I would say that, as far as firearms reviews go, Buffalo has consistently been an objective reviewer. Statements like "I like this particular feature/ It fits my hand perfectly/ I don't particularly like this item for the type of shooting that I will be doing/ Some people might find this item is uncomfortable when shooting/ For my use, I would swap this for.../ Overall, it seems to be a well built gun Or not" are what I want to hear when watching a firearm, component, ammunition or accessory review. The facts are stated clearly and the opinions are clearly 'labeled' as opinions. There are no opinions disguised as facts and there are no attempts to hide possibly negative features. Honesty and Integrity are obviously valued highly. On a side note; I have a very good friend who is the Chief of Police in a small, coastal North Carolina town who very much reminds me of Buffalo. He and I went through Basic Law Enforcement Training together and he taught me a lot about being objective and not "jumping to conclusions".

I always appreciate your honesty, Buffalo. You also have a knack for clarity. Good on ya. I've got the .357 LCRx and enjoy shooting .38 and .38+p through it. Not so much the .357's. Arthritis bites me back when I do that. But I found, just before the freeze we're in, a grip called the "ergo" grip and put that on to see if it might help. I'll let you know how that goes.

Just wanted to say thank you sir. You have become one of my favorite channels, especially on the rimfires. I currently own a Ruger SP 101 in .357 magnum that I occasionally carry apendix,(its heavy) and a LCRx .38 special that lives in the cup holder of my truck along with a speedloader. Working around my place I carry a Heritge Rough Rider with a 6 inch barrel and .22 wmr rat shot to dispatch various unwanted critters. I also own numerous Ruger rifles, (good quality firearms!). Now comes my complaint, I never knew I needed to replace my Rough Rider until I saw this video! Even with the crappy trigger weight, this thing is a dream! I have always thought that a 3 inch barrel was a perfect length for a yard gun, and in .22wmr it is perfect! So now, I have to find one! Thanks Buffalo, I gotta spend more money! LOL! Keep up the good work and greetings from Arkansas.

Just bought the 3" LCRx after watching your review of the three 22 WMR cartridges with a different gun. Your review of this gun is honest and spot on. Feed it some Federal Punch and it's a happy camper. I don’t mind it's "only 6". Or the heavy trigger. And i often end up pulling cases out of 38spcl and 357mag wheel guns i own. Heat expands the casing of any cartridge and they stick. Maybe a longer ejector would be good, but I don't care. For me it's a great piece for kit packing, or just target shooting. Love your presentation of the weather at the beginning. Really sets the mood. Fine production and honest reviews!

That is such a good looking gun. I love the LCR series. That is definitely a bit larger than the standard snubbies, but I have noticed the LCR's are a bit larger tham a J-frame or Charter arms- I can usually get away using a LCR holster for some of the others, but not the other way around. I love the sneaky shooting around the ice covered pine trees lol- that steel never saw you coming! I was out shooting a revolver in the snow this weekend as well :) My groups were not as good, but it was 24, windy and snowing. after a little while I couldn't feel my fingers. Thats my excuse anyway. If caring only rimfire in woods, I feel better knowing I have 9 shots in double action, as hogs are something to think about hear in south Louisiana. I seem to find myself carrying a smaller lighter 22 LR and another larger cal. That just seems to be the way I roll. One of those has been my companion for a couple years now, started out as my wife's, but was too large to conceal well for her, when she decided to do something else I had a need for it(had just come out of recovery, and preliminary healing from a fractured C1, C2 vertebrae and a loused up skull connection, rebuilt with Titanium bits, and screws) -I'm fine now but was reluctant to risk possible damage from my sp101 357 snub,so I paid her for the 22 mag, and put crimson trace grips on, they are great-the idea being it would spend a lot of time around the house, and at night, plus being what the Good Book refers to as a "stiff-necked person" they make a quick aim easy. Am about ready to dig out the SP again and put some crimson trace grips on it for the same reasons-start out with various 38's,and see how that works-call me a baby perhaps, but I don't hanker to start over again (if that's even doable ).
