I just bought my second pair. I have the r&r Arizona adobe which I absolutely love. Last night I bought the burnt ginger in the classic lineup. I spent hours last night trying to figure out why it was in the “classic” section and not the R&R section because they’re not that shiny Horween leather like the others and I wish they came with the Kevlar laces.

What are the differences between these and the standard ones? Are the constructed differently, use different material or shanks?

Our rugged leathers and Thursday chrome leathers are both great leathers and are on the same playing field when it comes to quality and durability. The main difference between the two is how the leather wears over time. The rugged leathers are meant to take a beating and getting them a little roughed up will actually make the leather look better. Our Thursday chrome leather is tough too, but because of the smoothness of the leather, scratches, and scuffs will show a little bit more. The leather will wear well as it ages and will become increasingly comfortable and will mold to your foot. Please also note that the care instructions for both types of leather are different but feel free to email us if you have any questions!
