John beat Lupkes in the worlds in 1986, 1988 and 1990 in his prime, That's when John was unbeatable, he had a 25 year streak of being undefeated, sounds impossible but true. Dis John at your own peril, he's the best arm wrestler of all time and 25 years is long enough to make that call!

Much respect to Lupkes, i even have a picture with him, but he's also bigger than the freakin hulk. He's twice as big but not twice as strong. Pound for pound i'd say john is stronger.

trashbash2001 john is also a beast the reason he is great pound for pound because he trained for armwrestling at age 6 as he said in the movie (amrwrestling john brzenk) so from the beginning with his gifted genetics he made his arm like steel and know every trick in the game he is technical as he is strong not the case with lupkes tho he started armwrestling like when he was 20 or 21 but still both at their peaks I think lupkes would still win!!

trust i know. I've been studying him for 13 years and have met him at a tournament i competed in last summer. Lupkes, no disrespect to him, i would say is also ON something. He bodybuilder size. So for john to be able to handle him is impressive.

maybe, but i doubt it. I have a lot of very large friends who are just genetically big. Comparing john to lupkes is apples an oranges. John is big, but he's not huge. He's just solid. Males also tend to get a lot thicker around 50 too.
