I like this. There are so many people that insist that bonsai has a lot of rules. These "rules" only seem to exist outside of Japan

is it a rule in exhibiting trees in an exhibition that no pots should be placed directly onto the exhibition cloth. if you look at the exhibition trees non of them are placed directly onto the cloth.

As soon as you put your tree in a competion the competion may have rules but that is not bonsai, rules are for humans not for trees
