Rules of Show Business Part 1

During a recent gameshow development workshop with a live audience, I was explaining why certain elements of the format fit together, and how certain suggestions from the crowd would or wouldn’t work.
I found myself using the reasoning “it’s one of the rules of show-business, you always…”
By the end of the workshop I’d got to about 12 “rules of show-business”.
The other day I sat down and started to write them out.
