RUMOR: Transformers 1990 in the Works?!?

Joseph Kosinski is an American television commercial and feature film director best known for his computer graphics and computer generated imagery work. He made his big-screen directorial debut with the 2010 science fiction film Tron: Legacy, the sequel to the 1982 film Tron.

Thanks for the input! Was actually a huge fan of Tron: Legacy as well! Interested on how he would translate this into the Transformers franchise if the rumor turns out to be true

I haven't seen any of Joseph Kosinski's movies, but it's interesting to note two of his movies have very futuristic and techno settings. Wouldn't be surprised if he was a fan or at least watched G1.

I was thinking the same thing once I looked up his films! The addition of Travis KNight being a producer is a bonus as well. He'll keep close tabs and have that creative vision over the film

It's a pity that series like Rescue Bots will never climb to the TFPrime level for example, but this second film could follow the same atmosphere of this series: focusing on living between the Autobots and keeping the Decepticons in the background, as beings more mysterious (but remaining brutal as always), but the Bay style was still very simple, had to be more thriller and have more investigation. Good examples of a fun plot would be the dichotomy between the rebel Sideburn and the disciplined Prowl, or Bumblebee's bad influence on Sari, with Bulkhead struggling to give him good examples

Fair point, but the best method imo would just to simply follow the G1 Route or the Bumblebee Route. Following both parties and their actions. Although the Autobots will be the protagonists obv, there are just as much fans for the Decepticons and them having no form of a character or little screen time would be an upset for the community

I want there to be a deepening behind the scenes Decepticons (as in the dialogue between the revived Megatron and Starscream at the top of a building, that scene was epic), but I want them to do it further forward

I really hope this rumor is true, because it's the movie a lot of people (including me) want. Only thing that throws me off is that it's from 4-chan which is known for being unreliable most of the time, but there has been truth before.

Yup, fingers crossed! One of the reasons I stated rumor right away in the title and in the video. Only time will tell!

Although Beast Wars would be great for the Transformers Community, I feel it would be best to stick with the general idea of Transformers. The only form of "beasts" we should have imo are the Dinobots and that already is a popular thing outside of the Transformers community. Maybe after we have more successful films, then we can get a proper introduction to the Beast Wars Era.

They could keep the origin of the Dinobots as a mystery or just explained from above, with Beast Wars being a real-time deepening/narration of the emergence of them and the Insecticons

I hope this is true Optimus prime And Arcee In love sounds pretty good and I’m really happy that they’re saying they’re bringing Haley Stinefield’s character back Charlie and I can hardly wait to see her reunited with bumblebee And finally get to see do you want Megatron and hear all the other characters this sounds like it would be a good transformers film i’m on board with it😊

Same here! All the news seems great and pretty specific as well. Just gotta hope for the best in regards of the rumor being true. Only time will tell however!

soundwavejordan That’s true I bet transformers 1990 it’s going to be pretty good and I can hardly wait to see Megatron and Starscream and their interaction and hopefully new Decepticons and autobots in there G1 designs 😊

@@theriseoflordmasterstarscr9036 More likely they would but with a modern twist similar to how they did the vast majority of everyone during the Cybertron scene in Bumblebee. But remember, only a rumor!

Jason's has a decent track record two of his movies are on 50 percent on rotten tomatoes and his highest rated movie was in 2017 which was around 89 percent on rotten tomatoes

Ahhh alright! Thanks for the input! I'll be sure to check it out myself and see what I think. Happy that Travis Knight is also gonna be producing. We need him near these projects, if the rumor turns out to be true of course!
