My husband said, "I can't believe what I just saw" after the dogs brought the wayward steer back to the group. What team work!!! And then, the way you saved the elk calf. That too was unbelievable. So much work. Thank you for all you do.

So nice that you could save that Elk calf. I've found deer and moose like that over the years. It's a sad way for them to go. Thx for the video my friend!

Sunday 1880 Drifters fix: CHECK! Cattle are sure ornery things! Thank you for saving the elk calf!!! So nice to see such caring for wildlife! God bless you & all your family. *Have you ever thought of using deadfall to "beef up" ( pardon the pun, ) your fence lines? Make them less jumpable...

Thank you for the elk rescue. I live in western Washington and our elk have hoof rot so they can't jump the fences. Also they have overgrow hooves like foundered horse hooves elf shoe type so they get caught in one strand of wire and thread the hooked hoof through the rest of wires till it is a fine mess.

P.S. My father had an old wall phone hanging on our fish house wall. Such a laugh! Sometimes people actually thought it worked, which was hysterical.

The phone tree is cool to see. Does the phone work? Even with the cell phones we have today. What are you guys going to do about the Cattle Guard, did you fix it for sure this time? That was crazy to see the young Elk in the fence by the phone tree. The Elk needed to make a phone call. LOL Its very cool you met Alan from The Farm on Route 66.

Keep those cows from jumping the cattle guard by putting a old cow hide on both sides or the ends. They won't usually jump them then.
