I have much less experience with the game, but I think Fission is one of the best cards in the game. Not the most powerful as it doesn't do broken things on its own, but it fits in almost any deck and scales extremely well. The only downside is that it's kinda crap until upgraded, but it's worth it given how strong it is. I find that runs in which I don't find it are much harder to win, I would even spend 150 gold to buy it in a shop over most shop relics.

I agree a ton. Even without the upgrade, its a great way to essentially get a second turn. With the upgrade however it becomes broken entirely.

Corruption is the only card this deck needs so FTL+ can put a card between you and Corruption. Because Dead Branch is generating so many cards, you might get to FTL+ without fulfilling it's 3-card requirement.

@@dearozero3631 This deck didn't have Corruption at that time ... Corruption wasn't picked up until 1:43:40 ... at that 1:03:07 timestamp, didn't even have a Prismatic Shard

sometimes you don't need free damage. Also, it's not free if it takes up one card draw, which may be possible if there is enough card draw in the deck and so it's not one of the first 4 cards played. Also, it's bad against heart/time eater (but mostly heart).

It's not free if you draw into it. This deck draws a ton of cards with Fission and Dead Branch generated draw. What does FTL actually add to it? FTL isn't a card I particularly look to add to my decks after act 1. It's only free damage when you don't already have card draw.
