I am very new to this RV life I have been watching many videos on RVs. But I want to say you are very easy to understand and if it had a place to give you 10 stares I would. I hope to see many more of your helpful videos.

Thank you for this advice..I've encountered the same problem with my breaker tripping trying to run a space heater. I could barely run 1, but 2 is impossible. This video was very helpful to me. Exactly the information i needed. Thank you

Thank you for posting this! I had the exact same issue and couldn't think of a way to get an electrical cord ran out of the trailer without drilling a hole. This really helped me out.

I’m sorry to say extension cord is the worst thing to do for space heaters it even says on the cord not to plug into a extension cord hope your camper doesn’t burn down

THIS IS A TERRIBLE IDEA!!!! I am very sorry coming off that way. However, extension cords do not provide enough power. You wouldn't plug your microwave or AC unit in an extension cord? Space heater takes 1500 Watts when on high. That's more than some microwaves. The 1 thing written all over the box, tag, and user manual is only plugged directly to a 120v outlet. It's not BS it's literally to save your life. I worked for the manufacturer of the space heater you have, so I promise you that is a major fire hazard.

Just to chime in, yes generally it's not a good idea to run on an extension cord, but I have run an AC unit on an extension cord before and it was fine. The important thing is that the extension cord needs to have a really thick wire gauge. I think the one I used was 10AWG. It's as thick as the cord that connects my RV power. It is rated for more power than a small space heater can draw, but it's very important to check the rating of the cord and the power consumption on the heater. The one in the video definitely doesn't look big enough.

I've been doing this over the winter and my landlord flipped out saying I was stealing electricity and told me he was going to charge me more money since I'm using more electricity. Is he correct cuz I'm confused on how the outside outlet uses more power then the outlets inside an rv :/
