I’d be interested in this for my upcoming marathon. I’m gonna be 4.00-4.30 so don’t need a ‘racer’ I need a bit of stability so the GTS version could work. I also agree that Brooks make some of the most comfortable, plush feeling shoes out there. The Glycerin Max is just next level for that 👌🏻

Lovely soft ride, my preferred shoes for the longer and slower stuff. For the more energetic outings it's the Adrenalines (which incidentally you sold to me in that little running shop in Hayle). Both in the GTS version. Brooks shoes just work for me. Always enjoy spotting the filming locations - I suspect you and I run largely the same routes.

I had liked gusseted tongues until I got my first pair of Topo shoes. Their way of keeping the tongue in place is the simplest and the best.

It is a good system in the Topo shoes and it works really well 👍🙂

This is why I got myself a stealth version of Glycerin21. Not a perfect runners but a dream to walk (with a cool casual look) And that's the way it works for me - a casual shoe, able to run at times (travel best pick). What means, I could well do without it. 💁♂️

I agree, Brooks shoes do work really well for that purpose! 👍🙂

I went after 3 pairs of Ghost and one pair of Glycerin, moving across to Saucony and have never looked back. The Brooks could take huge mileage, a very bland experience as other brands offered different shoes with more variation in what the shoe would offer, my easy day shoe is the triumph and it’s fantastic. After that review nothing has changed for me to even consider going back to Brooks.

Do they not have the Hyperion or Hyperion max in Britain? Sounds like you would appreciate both of those much more.
@Run4Adventure20 күн бұрын
We do have both the Hyperions in the Uk. I’ve run in the Hyperion and if I’m honest I didn’t really get on with them, the midsole felt a bit flat. Maybe I should give the Hyperion Max a go? 🤔

Heal tab user, on the Asics Gel Nimbus (25 and 26) I find it very useful. Not sure my recovery running requires worrying about a few grams. Maybe in a race shoe I’d feel different.

That’s good to hear that someone is getting some use out of their heel tab 😀 Thanks for watching Stuart 🙏

I like brooks but I like firmer shoes. I wish the ghost max wasn’t so tapered in the toe box
@Run4Adventure20 күн бұрын
If you like a firmer running shoe then Brooks definitely offer that 👍
@weuek17 күн бұрын
The taper keeps me far away from any Brooks shoe.

Do you mind me asking what niggles or injuries you are using k tape on the lower limbs for and dies it actually work? ❤
@Run4Adventure14 күн бұрын
I’m not having any niggles, I use it as a prevention. I have bad circulation in my lower leg that can lead to issues and the tape seems to help 👍

I found the new ghost and ghost max to run half size small. My toes would hit the bumpers. Does the new glycerin run the same in length or is it a tad longer ? 🤔 can't tell by the video comparison.
@Run4Adventure20 күн бұрын
Ive got them all in a uk9.5 and they all fit the same Micky. I’d say they are definitely true to size, like most Brooks shoes 👍

I like brooks glycerin shoes. I've got 19gts(my favorite) and 20. It looks like this new model is a mixture of a normal glycerin shoes and a stelth fit version of them.

Stealth fit version? 🤷♂️ the Glycerin 22 just has a standard Brooks upper 👍

@@Run4Adventureif you look at 3:48, there's sort of a collar, a tiny gaiter or smth(I'm sorry i can't explain it in my poor English). I think it's supposed to keep away some debris, little stones etc. Thats a plus do me. I use my glycerine 19 as a daily trainer for running in the woods or on sandy field roads because i need some softness. My heels ache if I run on stiff surface even in deeply cursioned shoes like glycerine 19 or 20.

@@Run4Adventurethanks for your videos, by the way. I tip my hat to you because I can only imagine the amount of time and effort you spent filming, interrupting your runs dozens of times, and editing videos at home.

You should try Adidas Mizuno Neo Zen Asics (Superblast) or Puma, prefer it over Brooks.

The Glycerin 22 is definitely firmer than the Novablast 4 👍

Brooks is a weird shoe designer. Once I asked them how much wider were their 2E and 4E versions, as they do not provide this info anywhere (e.g. Hoka and NB do, both in nice clear tables, for all sizes). All they came up with was approximations. It was clear they didn't know. I guess the Chinese decide that in their factories, not Brooks guys.

Is the race on the roads or trails? 🤔

That was one of the reasons why I moved away from Brooks shoes especially the Ghost series. Very dependable but not exciting, or feel like they're giving something back. Big fan of Puma these days but I did buy a pair of Brooks Hyperion Max last year and I really enjoy running in them.

I might have to give the Hyperion Max a go? I’ve run in the standard Hyperion and again it felt a bit flat and boring to run in 🤔

@@Run4Adventure I used the Hyperion Max on my last half marathon. It's not the softest of rides but I feel it does give some energy back. The Hyperion Max 2 is slightly heavier but has a plastic plate. Reviews of it are good, especially for long runs. Maybe not a speed shoe as such

Hy there, im in dilemma to choose either brooks glycerin 22 or asics novablast 5 for a long run. Thanks
@Run4Adventure20 күн бұрын
I would personally go for the Novablast. It runs a bit lighter than the Brooks shoe and the midsole is more cushioned and it feel like it delivers more energy return 👍

@ thanks mate for ur feedback
@Run4Adventure19 күн бұрын
@@piee683 running shoes are super personal and what works for one might not work for another. The Novablast is softer in the midsole which might have made it unstable for you depending on your running gait and that could have caused you knee pain? Whereas the Glycerin has a firmer level of cushioning which might work better for your running biomechanics? Or it could just have been coincidence, it’s very rarely just a running shoe that’s the problem 👍🙂
