I have a 1996 Lance that I bought used but in immaculate condition, on a 2018 Ram 3500 4x4. Not sure of the model but it was the largest camper offered by Lance at that time. I have made a few changes in it to suit my needs, I added more solar panels and an extra battery. I use it every chance I get. Thanks for the video. Maybe we'll meet up somewhere, someday.

@David Chase funny you should say that. I ordered Todd one for Christmas but once the order went through it showed that it wasn't going to be here by Christmas. Great, you enjoy your right choice and that it all works well. Unfortunately I was born in the wrong country. I love what you guys are doing and I look good. I don't need to have a 4 wheel squat, but rather go to different places to see nature with backpacking. America is big and beautiful. I am in the process of selling my house and hopefully to make my dream come true but also to meet you I like how you do your best with making the videos

Enjoyed your review video, we went with the 2021 Lance 1172 set up on a F450 flatbed . Maiden voyage 2/25/2021 we're touring Florida and loving our Lance as well. Hope to see y'all out and about one day.

Completely agree! 👍 Love my 2021 Bigfoot, but they definitely need to up their game in the aesthetics department! Counter tops, windows, lighting and I'd add more plugging locations around the bed. Love the added bumper on your Lance. Would like that for the stinky-slinky! Lol I just got home from a three month Arizona adventure...can hardly wait to go again!

I have a question about the Lance 975, hopefully you guys see this since it’s a bit old of a video! Is the only thing under the dinette seats storage? Or is the battery or such under it as well.

Thanks for the video guys. Totally on the same page w/ the dated fiberglass units. Was on the fence between Northern Lite and Cirrus. Cirrus is up with the modern design but they stopped manufacturing the long bed 920. Saw the new Lance 960 design for 2022 and it checked all the boxes for me. No slide, acrylic tinted windows, no terrible dinette - swivel chairs instead, over the bed skylight, Truma Combi high efficiency furnace. I've used your videos to help me make the decision and pick my options (ultra deck and exterior lighting). This video helps reinforce my decision to go with Lance. I can't wait to take delivery - around September/October this year. Thanks again for sharing your experiences and love the channel. Keep up the good work. - Mike in Reno Nevada.

920 gets released this year from NuCamp. Redesigned like the 820 supposed to have 2 models 920s one with a slide and one without.

I've wanted a truck camper for years. I've watched numerous videos about them, but one thing always bothers me. If someone switched the city water fill with the blackwater flush (teen pranksters for instance) the camper could/would be ruined. Doesn't seem like there is anything preventing this. I also understand that all Lance campers use the exact same key. Is this true? If so, anyone who ever owned a Lance RV or anyone who got hold of a Lance key would have unrestrictive access to every Lance camper. I hope I'm wrong about these conclusions. Please let me know and thanks for your great videos.

That’s a good point about the black tank flush, that would go for any camper and not just truck campers that have it. I don’t know if Lance campers use the same key but I kind of doubt it. They do have different lock sets depending on the camper. However a lot of RV keys are the same. Dealers have a master key that will work on most all of them. Kind of scary! Thanks for watching!

You would have to look at the payload capacity of the truck to see if it can handle the weight. Our Lance 975 was very heavy and I would recommend a dually to haul a camper that heavy. Thanks for watching!

Great review. I bought a used 2007 Lance 992 last year in hardly used condition. It’s about the same size as the newer model 995 but mine has 2 slide outs. The galley and the dinette. It’s nice to have the room in a truck camper. The 992 has lots of counter space and has the wet bath. I don’t really have an opinion on the wet bath haven’t tried the shower out. The only thing I read about them is wiping them down after using the shower. One thing we did was switch all the old bulbs to the LED ones. They use very little power and are brighter. I like the big storage bumper on your 995. Looking at other camper manufacturers I like the layout of the Host mammoth, Yukon and Everest. They all have 3 slide outs. Lance had been building campers since the 60’s and have the largest market share and build a good camper. My 992 has the walk on roof too and the out door lights all around and 2 awnings. One thing we are going to upgrade is the TV to a larger more modern one and DVD player.

Love your camper! Have a question about the bath my wife always complains about water pressure . That's her biggest worry about purchasing a truck camper. I know they tend to restrict water flow to save on water; but we don't dry camp for long periods at a time. What your opinion about it.

Another great video with good insights. As a dog lover loved how you elevate your dog so he can look out the windows. Question: how do you find the propane usage with the smaller twin 20lb tanks versus the larger 30lb tanks that say the 1172 has? Do you find the need to carry a spare tank for refilling more often?
