They also pair wonderfully with the druid class, especially since very few people expect the happy go lucky little fellow to turn into a raging bear and maul them across the room if they hurt his friends. I've recently made some very different Rock gnomes. They live in a type of cast society, the city is kind of like those attack on Titan City rings. And going further in you go up a class. The further out you go the less technology you have, certain materials are straight up banned depending which level you are. And lower classes are never taught of what's in the higher classes, they can never go past the wall. Regardless of this, each class has still found ways to make technology with what they have available, making some pretty impressive stuff. The source of this strange society is that the leader is in contact with a corruptible artifact, and this artifact has been passed down generations after generations. The neighbors of the society are able to freely see all of the classes, and want to change this society.

I agree with gnomes being the most chaotic neutral in D&D and all, but would not say that they are particularly scrawny or weak. I have had two gnome characters in games that I have run and both of them have done incredible feats of strength. The first (a deep gnome war magic wizard... WIZARD) was the most chaotic thing alive. That guy crawled out of a bag of devouring, tricked an NPC into climbing into said bag of devouring, sold a magical shield to another magic shield for literally all of his gold, survived an encounter with a dracolich somehow, freed some slaves, and then got blackout drunk when they reached the nearest town. The second gnome (who was a nonspecific gnome who worked as the security for a tavern) lifted several people above his head and then threw them to devastating results. Will have to tell these stories sometime on my channel. Maybe sometime in December? I don't know. Great video though Runesmith!

Yo I loved your analysis in "How to Write a Good Antagonist", would you be able to make another one? Maybe the contrast between Villains and Evil characters or some other view on it? Or possibly a PC crafting? It's been a inspiration for me to take further consideration into how I create my Evil aligned PCs, and adding in tribulations in creating my Evil PCs has made them so much more fun, but admittedly it's been a bit underwhelming to present/RP them in a entertaining manner for my group; I noticed how important this distinction was when another group member made a blatantly evil (but they're a child) that I gradually became more opposed to, now to the point my PC, by RP rule, doesn't trust them for anything. What builds a good Evil PC in analysis? *So far I have created* - Family man surgeon, gone mad trying to save his daughter, now traveling to harvest healthy organs for the sickly - A Psychotic Warforged bent on relinquishing his binding rules, restricting his freedom in sevitude of a designated "Leader" - A bound spirit, malevolent, but symbiotically dependent on it's host, taking any chance to feed on murdered spirits and achieving its goals an enigma. (This character is bound to another PC a friend will brew when we're ready)

Man,still remember the day i made a gnome named loretti brokenbroom,she was raised by 2 evil hags thinking she will grow to be a hag too,the time passed and she didnt turned into a hag,she continued being just a gnome,so they tried to eat her,but they ate something bad first and they died. So loretti grew up thinking she is a hag and passed 300 years in the hags house to learn magic alone... She is still level 1 for literal 300 years.

I had a gnome divination wizard who was 420 years old and used his pipe to channel his divination abilities. Also instead of a spell book, he sewed his spells into his cloak and whenever he casts a spell, his clothes started blowing back like he was standing in front of a wind machine.

I just made a Gnome bard of creation the other day, I forgot what I made his name but his stage name is the Tunesmith and he has a toy dragon that he enchants with the dancing item feature. Can't wait to play him some day

Can't wait for him to be murdered by a bunch of kobolds. Saving a (fake) baby dragon from the hands of a vile filthy gnome? That's a big win in my book.

@@LordDragox412 now I would agree with you, except we will start at level 6, so getting killed by kobolds is a very slim chance already
@LordDragox4123 жыл бұрын
@@jaspermaij3753 Oh, you have no idea how much you're underestimating -human- kobold-wave tactics. You may kill 10, 50, or even 100 of them, but can you kill 1000+? Kobold hatred towards gnomes knows no bounds, and so does their love towards dragons. As a famous kobold general once said, "YOU IS NO PREPARE!"

The entire time I felt like you were just describing me. Good to know other gnomes exist and it makes sense as to why i like your shit so much

Gnomes, the asshole magic cousin to both Halflings and Elves. Somehow always shows up to the family reunion even though they aren't invited.

You're not wrong, I didn't expect the Stibbles plug BECAUSE IT'S ON THE SHELF BEHIND ME.

Man, I miss my first Gnome. Hieronymus Gelp was a snake oil salesman, and CHA-high wizard who just wanted to collect coins and trick people by transmuting things into fake potions. Died way too soon, damn twig blights!

I once played a gnome ranger with a stupid long beard. We got robbed and I was left naked but used my gnome beard to tie it up as a loin cloth. I also befriended a wild tiger cub. I miss my gnome.

I’ll thanks for this. I always struggled to distinguish gnomes from just a mix of dwarves and halflings.

I presented a speech in college about why gnomes should be badass but are depicted as the comic relief of the fantasy genre.
