Double right. And underage drinking with parents knowledge. The Alberts and McCabes should watch the Crumbley Parents Trial
@jenmck235 ай бұрын
@@plscarney1646don't know if you're being sarcastic or serious but that's very very different. Some parents would rather have their children be drinking in their own homes if they are going to do it. I'm not excusing drinking and driving of anyone adults or teens, but that's truly like comparing apples and oranges. Is it irresponsible parenting choices to allow them to drink and potentially drive, absolutely, but those Crumbley parents and these parents are very different. There is no excuse for drinking and driving regardless of age, but what those parents let "slip through the cracks", to straight up handing him is very different. I understand drinking and driving results in death, but they didn't hand their intoxicated teen a key to a car and give him permission to break the law like those parents blatantly did with a gun and getting around gun laws, especially after being alerted to very concerning things that was flagged by the school.
@Pamlandy25 ай бұрын
@@jenmck23 I agree...the two are different. But the crumblys didn't just hand their kid a gun. But, they DID neglect to lock the gun. IMHO, THAT is what clinched it for me.

If you have been injured by a DUI Driver, I believe you have a different perspective on these adults and underage drinkers. I was 3 years old when a DUI Driver didn't secure his load of copper pipes. When he accelerated the pipes slid crashing through my mother's windshield. I was in the back seat. One of those pipes hit me in the head practically removing my ear. The second DUI teenage, hit my parents head on. My parents were hospitalized for months. Myself and 3 siblings were put in temporary foster care. I have a very strong opinion on drunk driving. A car can be a very dangerous weapon.

But she's also the one that decided to push forward with the trial despite both sides wanting to wait for the federal investigation to conclude and the feds warming her that she would be setting a lot of people up for perjury charges if she insisted on going forward. And she's the one that is constantly demanding the defense move along when they're in the middle of a very relevant and completely proper line of questioning.

Unless there are zero alcohol swabs in ED, it is absolutely possible that there was contamination. I have personally phoned a prosecutor before to let them know that a blood sample they were using as evidence may be contaminated. This is because in an ED we are very busy and unless there is a police officer standing next to you it is easy to go into autopilot and not think about the type of swab used when collecting blood where it seems routine and there is no indication that it is evidentiary.

Nurse Beck here. - I have concerns with the blood alcohol testing of Karen Read - there is a different procedure for collecting an evidentiary blood draw. PARTICULARLY for testing blood alcohol, you can’t clean the skin with an chlorhex/alcohol wipe as you do with a normal draw as it contaminates the evidence and leads to a false increased reading. I doubt this procedure was followed for a MH assessment. The Blood alcohol evidence is unreliable in this case. Also no chain of custody as is normally req.
@effy_kujo5 ай бұрын
The pathologist said it was procedure to use a non-alcoholic wipe, but even still, the prosecution has no clue when she had her last drink which is imperative go the conversion & defense pretty much proved KRs BAC to HAVE been wrong based on that assumption alone. There were many other reasons that BAC guesstimate should be thrown out. The conversion on the high-end pretty much implied alcohol poisoning or close to it, all the while every witness has already stated that KR didn't seem impaired at all! No slurring or stumbling or drunk-like behaviors.
