Insects don’t hibernate, they go into diapause. They also go into a state of torpor generally when cold. You can put them in a fridge and then take them out and they will be less mobile for a short amount of time. The sound stage was probably cold so they just weren’t very active.

My favourite unhinged moment from Drag Race is when the Vixen did gravity defying moves while Aquaria stripped on the judges panel, iconic❤ In all seriousness, I don’t think I know a show quite like Drag Race in how camp and insane it can be. The editing is so iconic, storylines are (usually) edited so well and it’s so good at just creating iconic moments. It has its flaws but there are so many moments on Drag Race remembered by the fans as unhinged or iconic. So. Many. So props to the queens, producers and editors for making them. It’s truly one of the main things making the show as memorable as it is.
