The first time I saw Jim was in Pittsburgh about 15 years ago...right around the time that he dropped "Hot Pocket.... Flush Pocket... Diarrhea Pocket". At the end of his show he chose someone "at random" to come on to the stage to tell some jokes...it was actually a setup so the guy could propose to his girlfriend. I was nervous I was gonna get picked! He got me good! I did get to meet him after the show also and I got him saying "hot pocket" into my phone for me...back before videos could be recorded though, so just the audio. Thanks for all the years of laughter Jim and Jeannie!

Comedy isn't something I would normally be able to share and enjoy with my kids, but my 11 and 12 year-old recite Gaffigan's comedy verbatim. I almost died laughing when he said you can't go to a health club and watch someone run on a tread mill. Where I live you can. In our town we have a gym right next to a mcdonalds and the tread mills are lined up infront of a window that faces mcdonalds. You can sit in the parking lot eating your fast food while watching people run lmao. I like to waive at them and hold my shake up like I am toasting them lol.

I made a really good friend who lived in North Carolina when I was in highschool. Once I went over there to visit and his gf ran track so we went to one of her meets during the day and it surprised me they use starter pistols at all for certain races but what blew me away was when they discovered they didn’t have blanks for the starter pistol one of the track coaches went to his truck, retrieved his personal handgun, and then fired it into the dirt to start the races. All of that instead of saying “go”

In TN, I saw those "26.2" and "13.1" stickers everywhere before I learned what they meant. Once I found out I thought, "someone needs to make fun of these people." The next day I saw a sticker that said "0.0...But seriously, good for you," and I was just jealous that I didn't create it. With the marathon spectators, that's the same thing I wondered about the high school sports spectators in TN. Everytime there was a game at the high schools, especially football, there would be people pouring into the stadiums and maybe 25% were parents. How bored are you that you're going to watch kids you don't know embarrass the game of football? Honestly, sounds like intro to an SVU episode right there: "He watched the boy for weeks, fumbling every ball like it was greased lobster meat. No one thought it was weird that he didn't know anyone there until it was too late."
