The Raw goat milk movement is so exciting! People are finding me and asking if they can buy milk. I started just for my own family but now I’m feeling a responsibility to my community to provide healthy food.

That’s why we started was demand and responsibility to make it available

I found your content through Melissa K. Norris podcast. I love the content and can't wait to learn from all your videos. We live in Texas, and I am super interested in developing a goat dairy farm. We live in 5 acres so, lots to learn. Thanks so much!

Marc, one day I hope to meet you, thank you for all that you do. This is such important and valuable information for you to so willingly share. We are working on starting a small goat dairy, and have dreams of some pack goats one day. Our toddlers will grow up raising goats! Thank you.

I milk 3 Nigerian Dwarf goats twice daily and it's more than enough milk to for me and my husband to consume. We freezer extra as well as feed it to our chickens. In the summertime heat the chickens love getting their daily frozen milk pop cycle to chip away at and keep cool. I also make the best goats milk soap, lotions and delicious cheeses and tons of kefir. Funny thing though, nobody I know drinks goat's milk around here. I can't even give it away so we just enjoy it all ourselves. ❤

I freeze-dried all my excess Nigerians' milk, I have a tote with about 10 or so gallons in it. Sadly I'm looking for homes for my 6 girls as we're moving. I'll sooo miss my girls and milking!

Dang, i am paying $16 for a half gallon in Snohomish, Washington. $20 a gallon would be fantastic.

I have a couple of Nubians and am able to sell the milk for $12/gal here in Arkansas. Would love to expand someday.

It’s also hard to find high quality raw cow milk! I tried two different local farms in Central new York the past year and they both tasted off. They also taste like perhaps milking equipment cleaning chemicals

How much land do you need to be successful? I currently have 1.5 acres and 3 milking does (lamanchas ❤️) I would love to expand but don’t want to crowd my gals. I get a custom feed to up their butterfat content and the milk is AMAZING.

I have had raw goat milk separate upon thawing, when it was a few months old. Do you know what causes this?
@PackGoatscom6 ай бұрын
I always do a quick shake after thawing. Not sure on your situation.

Do you hold in person workshops to help folks learn goat dairying/packing?

Yes we sure do. We have one every spring and now in the fall. Fall is more of a goats “deep dive” and the spring has an emphasis pack goats Packgoats.com

I'd like to ask a question unrelated to this specific video. Do you feed your wethers grain? The reason I ask is I lost a 2 year old wether this weekend to urinary calculi and am very sad about the whole affair. He was such a great goat and 100% healthy in all other respects. I never fed him a lot of grain and am questioning the whole topic of feeding grain in the future.
