Having used two of these crates for a number of years on a 500 cow herd, I would suggest you reduce the width of the crate before you let them in and it will reduce the movement, like putting your hand in a glove.

Whats the entire system worth ? from RFID reader to loadbars and readout and chute ? Are you happy with the scale readout or are there other features you would want. do a video on the scale and monitor!!

Hi Heather. I can get you a full quote on the entire set up if you are interested. The scale system is awesome and I'll do a video with more focus on it this month. We're running cows through the chute in a couple of weeks, so I can get some good videos for you. Visit the contact page on our website if you'd like some detailed info norheimranching.com

How are you getting the cattle into the alleyway? Do you use a tub or a bud box? Thanks. Cool video

So sorry I missed your comment! We have a bud box to get the cattle into the alley way. It's ok, but we'll be upgrading to a 10' or 12' BudFlow Tub when we can.

Will this work for longhorn cattle?

We have a few customers running longhorn and highlands through an Arrowquip chute.

@@NorheimRanching is it possible to get/see video of that being done. A lot of people seem to be starting to raise highland cattle now. I watched a lot of those videos & have seen a few highland cattle being treated in head locks but don't seem to have good control of the animals head & horns, which makes it hard on the vet & animal as well. If there was a way to help with that I'm sure all involved would be much happier!

@@lorettarussell3235 I'll see what I can round up for you. @Arrowquip has a video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIeqXqx6arWtja8 that may help you as well

I would recommend putting your vaccines and tools close to chute , your wasting a lot of time walking around

Thanks for the suggestion and I definitely agree with you. There is actually a pole just off screen that the table sits against with all of our 'stuff'. It's just close enough that moving the table closer to the chute makes it awkward for moving around the fence and gates (especially when there are 2-4 of us working). We also plug in a heating pad there for winter vaccinations to keep the needle tips from freezing (Canada problems lol) I'm currently looking at getting a cooler that can sit closer to the chute and then keep the records, extra tags, etc on the table by the pole.
