Its not even the cross walk part but the fact that he darted out from two tankers where there was no way for the driver to see him. From time to time I like watching The People's Court but I'm a Judge Judy fan. Nothing against Judge Milian but she takes way too long on almost all of her cases. She always asked both sides questions that require long-winded answers even if the person isn't a long-winded speaker. Then towards the end she always gets mad and says everybody stop talking I've heard enough. But Judge Judy likes to skip all of that and gets right to the point and get through her cases as quickly as possible. Instead of dragging them out longer than they have to be.

He didn’t get caught lying, there’s some miscommunication either on his part of the explanation or how the judge is interpreting it. He’s trying to tell her he didn’t attempt to CROSS the street, that he moved onto the street to run parallel with the flow of traffic. He tries to explain he was hugging the cement rollers and she hit him from behind. His theory ‘ that’s why I was hit from behind and not the side, that’s why the back of my head hit the windshield not the side of my face, because she didn’t hit me CROSSING the street, she hit me from BEHIND as I was running with the flow of traffic’. Maybe it’s illegal for him to be in the street either way, I dunno. The judge didn’t do a good job of cross examining in my opinion. She says her passenger side mirror was damaged, did that happen from him getting hit and rolling off the car? ( that would support her explanation, if he had room to slide off and still have enough room to go off the side of the car ). Did that happen because she was too close to the cement rollers, hit him and bumped one( that would support his theory of hugging the rollers)

Years ago on college campus, my friend and I were at a stop light waiting to turn left. It was 3 lanes and there was a crosswalk for students. 2 men proceeded to walk between the front of our vehicle and the car in front, and not look both ways when trying to cross. One guy crossed but the other dashed out and a car hit the side of him, as the car tried to steer right (onto the crosswalk), and the jogger tried to dart back left. He kept walking, even though my friend and I screamed and the car had almost hit the light post and got out his car. My friend felt like the man didn’t stop for help because he didn’t have medical insurance. You don’t run into traffic without checking if it’s clear. The car had the right of way, as their light was still green.

This should be shown in every classroom in America because I lived in an area where people would crotch down between parked cars and throw themselves into oncoming traffic under the belief the pedestrian has the right of way, and they can make bank from lawsuits. Little do they know that's not how that works. Glad he's doing alright and not in a wheelchair.

😂😂 he tried to swindle his way out of this 1!! Famous saying is “look both ways before u cross the street”

I think I get what he was unsuccessfully trying to say. Because the trucks were lined up in the bike lane, he had to cut through to briefly run in the street parallel to the bike lane until he got past the trucks and could run in the bike lane again. He wasn’t trying to cross the street or jaywalk (jay run). Still though, the verdict was correct.

I get what he was trying to say. He didn't cross the street he was running beside the trucks parked in the bike lane on the side of the street and says he got hit from behind. Problem is the police report says he tried to cross the street. Not sure if his story is true but once i had a accident and the police report said they talked to me and said i was feeling funny and had to sit down. which was not all true. Before they even got a chance to talk to me i felt ill and sat down and ended up passing out. Everybody was asking if i was all right and have no idea what the cop was doing but he never said anything to me or ask any questions. I told him i was not feeling good and went to the hospital to get check. I thought the cop would later asked my side of the story but never did.

I have to agree it’s his fault . I’m an ex xc runner and I have ran in the bike lane with traffic but it’s not safe . Bro stick with open fields and your schools field trail where it’s safe and always someone around for safety.

He is so dense...even after the verdict. He needs to take responsibility for his action....not I was hugging the corner.... or....I was just in the street for 10 seconds. You are wrong!!!!!

I think that is truly what happened. If the windshield looks like that, he might have hit his head. He just didn’t want to take responsibility for his actions.

I was hit by a car while in a crosswalk last year. I don't remember anything about the accident. On the police report it says that I told the cops I didn't look both ways. I don't remember any of that. I had severe head damage

I understand how you can be in college, and still sound like you have no sense at all. He missed the whole point the judge that was trying to make. The fact that he did not cross in the crosswalk. He came out between two trucks where the woman could not see him, or anyone could not see him. And he in college.
