Hey mate it looked like you didn’t isolate each crimp connector from the other before heat shrinking them, maybe you did but if not just individually heat shrink each one and then a large piece over the top of them.

I may have missed it but it looks like you didn’t isolate the crimp on connectors on the kill switch splice. Again maybe you did but it looked like you just covered them with heat shrink? If they touch (metal to metal) it will permanently be “killing” (shorting) the bike.

Hello Cameron, I'm not sure, but when you crimped the two wires on kill switch and then you put the heat shrink over the wires it looked like the two crimps were touching and would short out. That's the way it looked to me. Although I could be wrong.

I'm currently experiencing problems with my 01 RM. With around 10 hours on a new top end, I installed a new gen Lectron; that cleaned up the jetting, especially in lower rpms. Now I have an electrical issues, possibly a bad CDI due to sloppy pressure washing ... looks like I'm also shopping EBay -- What a stunning RM your build has morphed into !

Hey thought I’d point out that I don’t think that kill switch will work! You won’t get the bike started like that, It’ll constantly be on since both of those butt connectors are metal and you heat shrunk them both together. You technically just make a constant kill switch as both wires are always touching!

I’ve always used dry graphite on the throttle tube makes it nice and slippery on the bar, won’t collect dust. Also unless I missed it looks like you didn’t individually insulate the metal butt connectors on the kill switch, that’s a short, it won’t spark like that.

I think it’s awesome your dealing out the pro x stuff. Best Brand out there and the price is great. I checked out the website and saw a lot of brakes and bearings and other maintenance parts. I love pro x out of all the brand so my question is will there be more variety in the future. I’m talking more toward engine parts like cranks, bearings and top ends??? If so I’m excited!

Didn’t look like you isolated each wire for the kill switch. Won’t the kill switch wires ground to each other and cause the bike not to run? To my knowledge the kill switch is a momentary on/off switch that when pressed allows continuity for ground and kills the motor. With the wires touching the bike won’t have any spark ever…

Nice video Cameron :) I have a question for you about the wire shelving system you are using. I wanted to ask where you got them, and how you were able to get the extra shelves needed to customize the shelf height for the bin heights? I know they are adjustable height shelves, but most only come with 4 or 5 shelves. Looks like some of yours have way more than that.
