@@Marco-yz3hs the danger was that the inflammation and deterioration in my body was still present so the other foot felt like I easily could tear that one.. the key is to drink plenty of water and to stretch against the wall or letting your heel hang off the steps.. being stiff in your Achilles causes all kind of problems from your toe to plantar fascia, heel spurs, calves, knees ,hips and back it is a very common injury even with professional athletes like Beckham and Kobe.. i studied as a gym instructor and all that stuff and the body can adapt really fast. most muscle groups can repair themselves in 12-24 hours when you adapt but if you do too much volume then you won't recover. you can technically squat everyday and still gain muscle which goes against the point your saying. when training everyday one the same muscle groups the muscle fibers can actually change the types and deliver more nutrients as a defence mechanism.

Good job for your first 5k. That’s a good time. I think I ran sub 24 in my first 5k race lol. I think my 5k days are behind me I want to focus on longer races such as 10k and half marathon and eventually work up to a marathon, my lifetime goal is an iron man but there is a lot of things I have to do in between to get to that point. I’m settling with my 5k PR of 18:21 for now not sure if I will try to break it in the future but who knows

I’m a girl and I’m 14. My pb at 5k is 22:10, but I walk for about 300m because I get really tiered. Is it a good time? Any tips?

Me Trackerr If you have any opportunity to run and train with faster runners, this will help you run faster overtime. Running is like doing a push-up halfway down. Holding the halfway down push-up for as long as you can. It’s all in the mind, you decide when to give up or keep pushing longer.

congrats on your first 5k, my first 5k race was when i was 10 years old, did one every year with the family as my dad was an elite runner doing 10k races, he cant do races anymore so last 3 years i stepped in his place, last 3 years ive ran just over 30 10km races and 1 5km race in 3 years, PB in 10 is a 34:57, and 5k was a 18:43, had to take this summer off due to injurys, in june during a 10km race i was on pace for a possible sub 31 minute race, but 2k into the race i partially tore my quad muslce in my right thigh, than 3 weeks ago i broke my ankle working

since ive been doing so many races i met so many friends aswell, have a friend from Kenya (btw im Canadian) who just got his full citizenship last year so he can compete for Canada in the 2020 olympics for Marathon running, (in 2012 and 2013 he won my city Marathon back to back, and in 2012 he broke the course record) (full marathon just incase someone doesnt know is 26.1 miles, or 42.2km) and another friend of mine who i met last year, hes from Ethiopia, comes to canada every summer to race, during a 10km race this year, he was 32 seconds off of the world record for fastest 5km race ran on the road

Dude your work ethic is way better than mine and your runs, the more you run actual competitive 5k’s the better you’ll get and more used to it you’ll get. I ran cross country and got to a sub 18 but I only credit that to running a lot of 5k’s and being used to that side of running instead of the practice running

When I was in hs and doing cross country, I think my best 5k times were in the 18's. I felt like I sucked bc a lot of my teammates were so good. When I started running seriously again at age 25, I realized running 3 miles all under 7 minutes is actually really fucking good. Now I feel like I'm going fast at like an 8:15 mile pace. So mad respect to our dude in the video, 20 min is good. Probably if he adds some track work he can shave off minutes. That track work is a game changer
