On their way back to the bush roses they roost in, we get the nightly march or in most cases run of the quail.

Quails are such fidgety, funny looking birds, that make an equally funny laughing sound. Ah, but their such a nice sight to see especially when going out for walks and you see a whole family of goofy looking quails running out from a bush over to another bush.

i was camping and there was a massive group of about 40 quails chilling near our campfire, but before the big group, when we were making breakfast you’d just see 1 or 2 quails zip past you running like this randomly, hilarious

Such neat birds, they are FAST too, they seem to prefer not to fly unless you run at them. I used to have a 100 year old Indian basket that was decorated with about 50 of those bobs on their heads

We use to have quail in the back brand new family , neighbors tore out their habitat. Sad took really old sage brush as well . One of the sagebrush I named grandpa GONE now. Nothing left but weeds and dust .

Here in California the quails run around in really long queues, often through trails and roads. You wonder how a fox or coyote couldn't catch them so easily. You always have to watch for these pretty little birds... they're everywhere.
