Is anyone else having trouble downloading the music? I keep getting .zip.001 and two of them are corrupted

Downloading all 3 and extracting causes corrupted files? I'll fix this today.
@big_doinks_incorperated43035 жыл бұрын
@@RunningShine it goes like "running shine vol 1.zip.001" then .zip.002 etc, one of them worked but the rest are busted
@RunningShine5 жыл бұрын
@@big_doinks_incorperated4303 I think I know what's happening. Are you trying to extract the second and third parts on their own? With zips in parts, you have to download all 3, and then just extract part 1, and it will go through all three of them in whatever folder you've saved all three. If this doesn't work let me know and I'll keep working on it.

I'm coming back soon! I'm in the editing stage for the new video, and whenever I get free time from school work I always open the project to work on it. Both Tropics and I are incredibly excited for it though, it's coming together to be something pretty great. It's going to be a long video though, which is why it's been taking as long as it has. Also the video is on YIIK if you're curious. Mischief Makers is a great game that's pretty straight forward to talk about so that video will only be a fraction as long as YIIK when we get to it.

I really don't know if you'll ever read this but thank you so much for the E102 jazz redux. Turning the synth lead into a saxophone solo was a stroke of genius, and makes it better than the original in my opinion.

Hey Running Shine, I'm only a recent fan, but I love what I've seen on the channel, and especially the music. I know you gave permission to that one guy to post this album on his youtube channel, but some of these tracks are really top tier. You should put official versions of them on spotify, pandora, itunes, and especially youtube (I personally use youtube to listen to music, so I'm a bit biased for that platform). Some of my favorite tracks are I Hear You're Doing Well, Whoaaaa, and Running Shine Theme, but there's no way for me to listen while supporting you as a musician on any of the platforms I use (namely youtube). It'd be nice to know that the music I'm listening to is at least somewhat supporting you, and not some random other guy. Either way, great music, and great videos. Keep up the good work!

Super late to this, but I agree. I do feel a bit weird hosting this stuff instead of them, but I figured it was best to have it up *at all* than to not have it available. If I had to guess, they may be against doing so for the same reason they won't set up a patreon, or allow donations. Maybe it's a desire to keep everything fairly 'unofficial.' Even then, it's strange that Post Elvis has uploaded a single track from the album on his own channel, rather than all three. Melo also has his Kirby and Starfox ones up on his personal channel, but no others? I hope I'm not inspiring apathy regarding that because "it's already out there." And I guess on that note, I hope people don't view me uploading them as self-interested. I really don't gain anything from it, and the channel was strictly a dumping ground for random shit at the time, so even if I did gain something from it, it wouldn't have amounted to anything. I guess that changed a month ago, but given what led to that I really couldn't have foreseen it.

I'm looking for the song that you used on your YIIK review when you were talking about the shop UI! It started at around 54:50 and I know it sounds like a remix of the Shenmue tomato mart theme. The extension added on to the song was so good
@RunningShine2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! That track is going to be on Volume 2 as "Tomato Store Remix", which we're currently getting ready to release at this very moment! Post Elvis is still getting some of his songs uploaded, and I'll also be uploading my tracks to my own channel as well so that when we release it, people can download/listen to it on the website, but also listen on KZbin if they prefer that way (we do want to set up a Spotify as well, but that's still in the works). We'll be making a video when it's released.

Sweet, I really want to see that Yiik video. Also, I was wondering if you are going to upload that livestream you did a while ago, that was entertaining.
@RunningShine5 жыл бұрын
At some point I might make a compilation of our streams that just have the good parts in them, since I'd like being able to edit out the technical problems, moments where nothing of interest is really being said. So probably won't see the whole stream again, but you'll get all the parts of it that were relevant, most likely we'll make a separate channel for those so people don't need to see them in their subscriptions if they're only interested in the reviews! Glad you're looking forward to it!

@RunningShine4 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response, I use Cubase and more recently Ableton, and Post Elvis uses Ableton as well. It doesn’t really matter what DAW you use though, at the end of the day what will limit you is your own experience and knowledge in compositing and mixing, not the software being used. I’d recommend looking at a good amount of DAW’s (or trackers if you’re more into that style of doing things) and using the one that you think you’d enjoy working in the most.

@@RunningShine That and the plugins. the most recent one i got was Broadway bigband which tore a fucking galaxy into my wallet. but it performs.
@RunningShine4 жыл бұрын
@@TheGameStatistic Here are most of the plugins/samples/kontakt libraries I use, I can't speak for Post Elvis and what he uses though. Superior Drummer for organic drums Gold Baby Samples for 909/808/707/626/606 sounds Art Vista Virtual Grand Piano for jazzier mid range sounds The Giant for a more full piano with all the artifacts For Synths: TAL-Bassline 101 for an SH-101 copy TAL U-NO-LX for a Juno 6 copy Recently I’ve also been playing around with the Korg Legacy stuff, mainly the M1 for the mid-late 90’s samples used on a lot of games, and I’ve been learning FM synthesis also. I used Scarbee’s electric bases for a long time but now record my own since its easier than programming all the articulations. I still use Pear for a nice double bass sound though. Electric guitars are also always recorded. Any time I use any kind of horn it’s always from Sample Modeling. Their Kontakt sax, trumpet, trombone, and French horn libraries are fantastic.
